LoL Run The Rift All-Star 2020

As we continue celebrating the end of another epic season, LoL Esports just announced their plans for the 2020 League of Legends All-Star Event. The event will be taking place on December 18-20, 2020 with a revamped format. Despite the current circumstances, many fans are looking forward to the All-Star Event, also known as the ASE, to watch the regions come back together for some friendly competition!

Fans will still be able to vote for their favorite professional players to join their region’s All-Star team. Voting will begin on November 9th until the 16th. However, there will be a few changes for the ASE as it shifts into an online event. All participants will be joining the event from their own respective homes or studios. This change affects the format for the upcoming showdown.

With 2 main sections named ‘Underdog Uprising‘ and ‘Superstar Showdown‘, the event is broken down into 3 days. Day 1 will be a packed opening day with head-to-head match-ups between close regions. The goal? To see if the smaller regions can pull-off an upset win against their region giants. Blocks are split between the LPL-LCK and the LEC-LCS. The following 2 days bring in more individuals involved in the League community. ‘Queue Kings’ are for the top influencers and ‘Legends’ are for the well-respected former pros. Day 2 will be for the LCK-LPL and Day 3 is for LEC-LCS.

It’s not an All-Star Event without its curveballs. Riot assures to lay down some twists and turns for the All-Star match-ups. Further on, a prize money for charity will be up for grabs and teams get to choose their charities to support. Fans can also support the event by buying an Elderwood Ornn Charity Skin which will be available on December 16th and 100% of the proceeds will go towards The Riot Games Social Impact Fund at ImpactAssets. We are excited to see some daring gameplay and crazy performances from each region’s favourite players. Maybe a new star will come out of this event? More information about the upcoming event will be posted on lolesports.com as we get closer to the date.
