Players will have to build a safe base in The Forest to protect themselves from enemies, cook food, and more. This requires cutting down a lot of trees. To speed up the process of chopping up trees you will want to find a chainsaw.
The chainsaw is one of the easier tools to find in the game. The chainsaw is the best tool for cutting down trees quickly and uses fuel instead of decreasing your players stamina.
Chainsaw Location: Where to Find the Chainsaw in The Forest
The chainsaw can be found in Cave 3. The entrance to Cave 3 is close to the riverside village. Players will be able to see the cave entrance next to a white tent.
There is a chance you will encounter enemies near the cave entrance. Enter the cave and continue following the path west. You won’t encounter enemies inside the cave.
The chainsaw will be on a table surrounded by corpses. There will also be some fuel nearby to power the chainsaw.
You will need to grab the fuel to power the chainsaw. If you’re playing a single player the fuel will respawn each time you enter the cave.
You can leave the cave or continue forward to locate the climbing axe in Cave 9. However, if you decide to proceed you will encounter enemies. You will be able to use the chainsaw you just picked up as a weapon.
If you’re looking to grind out tree chopping during the night you will be able to attach a torch to the chainsaw.
