The Multiplayer reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard teased us with stuff coming up in the coming game. From maps, and weapons to operators, gameplay, and customization. But from all of those, the biggest thing is the maps and weapons. Going back to World War II means a lot of stuff will be quite familiar. Let’s take a look at everything Call of Duty: Vanguard packs in terms of maps and weapons.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Maps

At the launch of Vanguard 20 maps will be available for multiplayer. 16 of those are core playlist maps and 4 are Champion Hill maps. That’s the biggest number we have seen so far in the history of Call of Duty. And with more content updates, more maps will roll out on the battlefields of Vanguard.

Core Playlist Maps

There will be 16 maps available for the core multiplayer playlists (including Control, Domination, Team Deathmatch, and Hardpoint) at the launch of Vanguard. Some of the maps are remakes from the World at War others are brand new. From what we have seen in the multiplayer reveal trailer the some of the environment will be destructible. You will be able to break some walls and hatches to try and catch your opponents off guard.

These are all confirmed maps that are coming to the core Call of Duty: Vanguard playlists:

  • Castle (World at War remake)
  • Dome (World at War remake)
  • Eagle’s Nest
  • Gavutu
  • Hotel Royal
  • Red Star

The rest is still to be confirmed by the developers.

Champion Hill Maps

Champion Hill is the brand new game mode. In this mode, multiple squads (of solo, duo, or trio players) will be fighting in a deathmatch against each other on one of the 4 close-quarter maps. Like in Auto Chess, teams will be paired up to play at the same time. Every team has a certain number of lives and as soon as they run out, the team is eliminated.

Combat rounds get mixed with buy rounds when you can spend your cash on getting weapon upgrades, perks, and more. And then repeat until only one team remains which will be crowned as the victors of the Champion Hill.

These are the 4 maps that will be a part of Champion Hill at launch:

  • Airstrip
  • Courtyard
  • Market
  • Trainyard
