The day before New Pokémon Snap releases on Nintendo Switch someone reveals (almost) the entire roster of cute little murder pets for us to take pictures of. I get to take pictures of my best frien- ahem… favourite Pokémon again. Here’s what we know.
Twitter user @SciresM has tweeted out the entire roster of all New Pokémon Snap Pokémon (minus a few). The first Pokémon Snap for Nintendo 64 has around 60 Pokémon for us to take a picture of, but that number has grown to around 220.
Here's your full pokemon snap roster!

Blank spaces are reserved pokemon IDs with empty data (could change in a future update, maybe).
Expect the usual datamining tools release from @Kaphotics and I later today 🙂 pic.twitter.com/faAiaXet3k
The Pokemon I’m most excited about are any and all turtles. Torterra, Carracosta, Torkoal and my OG homeboy, Blastoise are my favourites. Unfortunately, Carracosta doesn’t seem to be on the list, but hopefully, they’re in one of those empty slots.
Also, there are several different Pokémon that appear in different colours. That makes me excited about going back through previous levels will offer more the second time around, much like the original Pokémon Snap.
For example, getting an upgrade to your vehicle, or the ability to throw apples would unlock a new route and therefore new Pokémon to snap. Maybe we’ll have to unlock certain features to be able to snap different varieties of the same ‘mon, like throwing an apple near a surfboard to get Surfing Pikachu.
Pokémon Snap releases on April 30th, 2021 on the Nintendo Switch.
