Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has an abundance of tasks to complete for civilians, and some side quests allow you to get to know the characters. The Age is Just a Number side quest introduces you to Auxesia, who is a rather raunchy woman looking to collect ingredients for a stamina elixir to give to her husband.

This side quest is rather short, however, animal lovers may want to leave this one on the side. You will need to hunt bears and deer in order to find the ingredients for the elixir, and this guide will tell you the best locations to scout.

Where to find the Age is Just a Number side quest

You will find the Age is Just a Number side quest marker within the region of Phokis, as a recommended level 11 mission. The marker can be located directly North of the Temple of Apollo Fast Travel Point around 50m away.

At the Sanctuary of Delphi, you’ll find Auxesia standing in front of a gold bull statue. After a conversation filled with information you didn’t need to know, Auxesia will ask you to retrieve some bear scrotum and a deer tongue for her elixir.

Auxesia will give you some pointers, alluding to a cave near the sanctuary where a large male bear dwells. She will also tell you that deer roam everywhere within Phokis, however, hunting in the wilderness is not as relaxing as fishing in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Where to find bears and deer

To start, the side quest offers you more guidance by telling you that bears and deer can be found in the northern part of the Grand Mount Parnassos. Use your mount to travel North West to the edge of the region and start scouting.

Deer should appear frequently in this area and most wild areas in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, especially within denser areas of forestry. Once you find one, stay a good distance away in case you startle it and continue to down it with arrows.

Bears are trickier to find. If they are not sitting on the roads of the wilderness then you can find them scattered around the hills of Grand Mount Parnassos. Alternatively, use Ikaros to tag a Bear Grotto near the northern tip of the region. There will be an alpha bear dwelling there.

You will only need to kill one deer and one bear, but remember to loot both animals after killing them or the ingredients will not be obtained.

After you collect both ingredients, return to Auxesia at the sanctuary to complete the quest, where you can look forward to giving Auxesia and Koragos some relationship advice, or taming Auxesia’s hunger yourself.
