Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has no short supply of quips from Alexios and Kassandra, but Captain Gelon delivers the most comical exchange of the game so far. The Crewless side quest introduces Gelon to the narrative with the task of finding her ship, the Shark Tooth, and her lover Gyke.

This side quest is a short but scenic affair across the coast of Pilgrim’s Landing, and this Crewless guide will help you locate the missing ship and its treasures.

The Crewless side quest marker can be found in the region of Pilgrim’s Landing south of Phokis, with a recommended level 11 – some will have a recommended level 14. The closest Fast Travel Point is located at the Ianos Hangout in the center of the region.

Gelon will be waiting on the beach next to a wooden porch and meeting her will trigger a lengthy, humorous cutscene.

After learning about the Shark’s Tooth and Gyke, a new marker will appear approximately 980m East of your interaction. The fastest way to travel is to commandeer a small boat located near Gelon, or use your mount to gallop along the coast if you prefer. Having the Pegasus skin for your mount is extremely handy for cliff hopping.

One half of the Ketos Shipwreck can be seen on the surface of the water with the other half at the bottom of the sea, both located at the Hill of the Sacred War. Use Ikaros to pinpoint the Ketos Shipwreck and also tag two treasures to loot. Swim out to the wreck and stand on a nearby boat to kill the two sharks that circle below with arrows.

Once the predators have been eliminated, dive down to the wreck and follow the yellow marker located in front of the wreck. This marker pinpoints Gyke’s bracelet, with an extra 10 Drachmae and one precious gem attached.

The two additional treasures are nearby and will reward you with a level 14 Hunter’s Bow and a level 14 Dark Steel Chestplate.

Once you retrieve all three items, the Ketos Shipwreck location will be complete.

After returning to the surface, swim north to shore and approach the Bulis Military Camp 70m in front. Use Ikaros to tag the six pirates and the treasures. If you want to complete the camp’s objectives, kill the captain, burn one pile of war supplies, and loot all three treasures.

If you just want to complete the side quest, you can sneak in from the back of the camp on the right by using a hole in the bottom of the fence. You can either methodically illuminate the pirates or just make a run for the treasures. Having a plan for combat is always advantageous in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and these enemies as a group are as strong as a mercenary, so go into the camp with a strategy.

You must collect the level 16 Spartan Breastplate and the 36 Drachmae to advance in the side quest.

Once these items have been retrieved, you will be prompted to return to Gelon on the coast. Once you arrive, talk to Gelon to trigger a cutscene and break the news about Gyke and the Shark’s Tooth. In this exchange, you will be able to recruit Gelon as one of your lieutenants which will complete the Crewless side quest.
