Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a number of weapons in its arsenal, including multiple swords. They can be found dotted across the land of Valhalla or simply by completing tasks for Eivor’s peers. Each sword can either be found in the base game, in a free DLC or via the paid expansion packs.

Doppelhander

The Doppelhander is a Great Sword that can be purchased from a merchant for 390 silver pieces. 

Carolingian Longsword

The Carolingian Longsword is a two-handed Great Sword. This sword can be found on Eivor’s journeys. Head to the Forest Hideout in East Anglia. There is a wealth chest at the heavily-guarded Hideout, so be prepared for a battle in obtaining this sword. 

Excalibur

The legendary sword Excalibur is obtained by finding all 11 of the mysterious tablets. These can be found in Treasures of Britain locations or certain Zealots will drop them after they’ve been defeated. Once all 11 have been found, head to Mryddin’s Cave in Hamtunscire which will show you the path to unlocking Excalibur. It’s one of the best swords in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, so it’s definitely worth hunting for.

Swordfish

The Swordfish takes a little perseverance to obtain. Once Eivor has unlocked the Fishing Hut in Ravensthorpe, the merchant Arth will ask you to capture various different types of fish. Once all the fish tasks have been completed, you’ll be rewarded with the Swordfish, which looks just like its namesake. 

Saint Gareth’s Holy Sword

The Sword of Saint Gareth can be found during the free DLC with opened River Raids. During the mission “Francia’s Anointed”, Eivor is sent to the River Rhine to defeat the “Champion of the Faith”. The Champion is hiding out at the Monastery in the town of Ferrieres. Battle them to obtain the sword. 

Saint George’s Holy Sword

The Sword of Saint George can also be found during the River Raid DLC by completing the quest “The Sword of Saint George”. This sword is possessed by a “Champion” along the River Dee. Once there, head to the Deva Victrix fortress, which is located towards the end of the river. The Champion will be in an ice-covered tower, defeat them and claim the swords are yours. 

Ulfberht

Ulfberht can be obtained by completing the mission “The Ulfberht Sword”, which is found during the River Raids DLC. Vagn will give Eivor a map, leading to its location. You’ll sail along the River Rhine, to the Fort Ehrenfels, where the Champion which has the sword is located. First, Eivor will have to kill two Captains, which will lure out the Champion. Kill them to obtain the Sword.

Hero’s Sword

The Hero’s Sword is earnt through the free DLC title the “Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories Event”. The sword can be found in the Duntulm Camp on the Isle of Skye. It is inside a locked chest, which requires two keys to unlock it. Both keys can be found in the camp, giving you access to the sword.

Durendal

The Durendal can be found in the Evresin region during the DLC “The Siege of Paris”. Head to the town of Evreux and look for a chest to the south. Once at the marker, you’ll notice it’s inside a well. Crack open the top of the well and climb down to claim your prize. 

Egbert

To get Egbert, head to the Melunois region during the DLC “The Siege of Paris”. Located near the area of Blihaut, Eivor will come across a thief who has the two. You’re then given three options, using Charisma to get the thief to hand over the sword, buy the sword or fight the thief for it. Whichever option you choose will reward you with the sword. 

Egyptian Khopesh

The Egyptian Khopesh is another sword that will take some time to obtain. During the DLC “Wrath of the Druids”, Eivor will meet Azar, a merchant who operates out of Dublin. She will task Eivor with Trade Contracts. Once Dublin is at Renown Level 2, she’ll give Eivor a Trade Contract that will reward them with the Egyptian Khopesh. 

Joyeuse

The Joyeuse is located in the Hidden Ones Bureau in Paris, during the DLC “The Siege of Paris”. However, you do need to find three keys first before getting your hands on this Mythical Short Sword. Each key can be found in the Diodurum Ruins, the Gisacum Ruins and the Champlieu Ruins. 

Ring Sword

During the DLC “The Siege of Paris”, Eivor will participate in a mission called “Skal”. Completing this mission will allow Eivor to get his hands on the Ring Sword. It is a story mission, so you won’t be able to miss it.
