Astralis In Game Leader Gla1ve Set to Return in August

Updated:

The Astralis in game leader (IGL) Lukas “Gla1ve” Rossander will be returning to the team’s roster in August. Currently, there is no confirmation on when the 5th Astralis player, Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth, will make his return. This will be a warm welcome for the IGL, as the team has not been the same without him.

Gla1ve made his initial leave from the team’s main roster back in May due to health issues. The issue of burnout and fatigue from players in the highest levels is not uncommon. In fact, that was the reason that Xyp9x left the main roster as well. It even crosses games. The League of Legends pro player Uzi had suffered from fatigue and injury due to intense training and consistent competition.

He’s Back… Eventually

The return of Gla1ve had been confirmed by fellow teammate and Tom Cruise look-alike, Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz. On the HLTV Confirmed Podcast, he said Gla1ve is set to come back in August. Unfortunately, there is no timeline for the return of Xyp9x. When it comes to mental health, it is hard to say when someone will recover from any given issue.

While this is not something you rush out, let’s hope that the players will both make a swift recovery. If not for themselves, for their team. Astralis has been suffering, falling out of the top five teams down to 7th place. Currently, there are only four members on the team after Snappi left to join TIGER. JUGI, the first stand-in, is still repping the stars, but who will take Snappi’s place in the next event? There are plenty of questions surrounding the Astralis roster, but at least fans have an answer to one of them, and that is the return of Gla1ve. It is still over a month away, however, and with the date no longer up in the air, fans have something to look forward to, because it definitely is not their current performance.
