Making a comeback to the store, the official Twitter handle of Cyberpunk 2077 has announced that the game is available once again on the PlayStation Store. The game is priced at its original £29.77 on the digital store, but the PS4 discs versions are cheaper on amazon.
Previously, the game faced many performance and stability issues on the console and was literally unplayable. CD Projekt Red released the review codes for the consoles only a few hours before the launch which had made many people suspicious. Their doubt came in colour after the game was released, with constant crashes, missing textures, lowest quality graphics, and T-Posing characters. Following which the game was taken down from the PlayStation Store and PlayStation itself promised to process the refunds, which is super rare.
Cyberpunk 2077, however, is only recommended to be played on the PlayStation 4 Pro versions and the PlayStation 5 consoles. The older consoles will still face performance issues that the developers are still trying to fix over time. This announcement comes after Patch 1.23 addressed many known bugs across different missions. Hence, it seems to be a good time for the game to come back, but will it perform better than before? We will have to wait for the players to check it out themselves.
In the apology video released by the CD Projekt Red Co-Founder Marcin Iwiński, he also delivered a roadmap for the game. He aims that the game will receive constant and periodic updates for stability and optimization, before the launch of the DLC’s. Following which the multiplayer part of the game has also been put on hold. We really hope, CD Projekt Red gives back to its fan what they were promised and the game finally becomes what it was supposed to.
