An announcement trailer was dropped recently for new (and free) Cyberpunk 2077 DLC for Death Stranding.
Now, this announcement may come as a surprise to many, including myself. The great thing about it, though, is that it is completely free and includes new missions, cosmetic accessories including Johnny Silverhand’s sunglasses and robotic arm that is usable in-game, as well as a Reverse Trike vehicle that is Cyberpunk 2077 themed for Sam Bridges to use.

Despite the intense uproar over Cyberpunk 2077‘s bugs and lack of playability on previous-gen consoles, Death Stranding has decided to jump on the Cyberpunk 2077 hype train. This update only goes to prove even further that PC is often the way to go, considering that the update is only available to those who own Death Stranding on PC through Steam or the Epic Games Store.
PC is proving to be the focus for many game developers recently, as we can see by this DLC only being available on PC. It is the best platform to play games if you enjoy customization and the ability to play indie games that often go unreleased on consoles.
According to IGN, you will also be able to “use a new hacking function that allows you to disable MULE sensor poles, stun enemies with Odradeks, and short circuit enemy vehicles”.

This DLC was certainly unexpected but is an exciting addition nonetheless. If you have been enjoying Cyberpunk 2077 on PC (or even on console), it’s worth picking up Death Stranding and playing the new Cyberpunk 2077-themed update, especially since it is currently 50% off on Steam.
