Evil Geniuses Complete CS:GO Roster With Obo

Updated:

Evil Geniuses has officially announced this Friday the addition of Owen ‘oBo’ Schlatter to bring its North-American CS:GO squad back up to five following the departure of Ethan ‘Ethan’ Arnold. After a six month hiatus, oBo will finally return to the highest level of competition at one of the last big household names left in North American Counter-Strike.

The 17-year-old talent hailing from the United States is most known for his time in Complexity Gaming. The youngster was a part of the squad that partook in the Starladder Berlin 2019 Major, remaining in its ranks even after the restructuring process that brought in the leadership of Benjamin ‘blameF’ Bremer.

Under the moniker of “Juggernaut”, this brand new roster generated high expectations from fans, expectations that it managed to fulfil after a successful run during the early stages of 2020.

However, the pandemic forced the two North-American players in the squad, oBo and Major Champion William ‘RUSH’ Wierzba, to move to Europe for an uncertain period of time.

With a second wave on the horizon, oBo made the decision to return home before Europe went back to lockdown, leaving his team reduced to four just moments before their appearance at the DreamHack Open Fall closed qualifiers.

In December, oBo announced that he was back in the market and looking for new opportunities. Evil Geniuses, who were recently reduced to four members after Ethan ‘Ethan’ Arnold moved over to VALORANT, will be his new home.

This new squad will have its debut on the 25th of February going up against Astralis at their opening match of ESL Pro League Season 13.
