Excel Esports Strengthen Their Commercial Reach With New Hires

Published:

British esports brand Excel has announced multiple new hires to help increase its commercial reach. These new roles bring on a wealth of knowledge and experience which Excel hope will “shape, inform and measure” their accelerated growth over the next 18 months. Built around the company’s core pillars of sustainability, inclusion, and learning, the new additions will no doubt be a huge boost to the behind-the-scenes at Excel.

New members hope to boost Excel

Mark Carter joins as Commercial director. Carter has over 15 years of experience in digital partnerships, working alongside brands such as UEFA and Visa. His experience will add a vast network of contacts and platforms that Excel can use to grow its UK and international presence. “I am proud to share that alongside the growth of the commercial team our pipeline has increased by 300% over the last four months” comments Carter.

Alongside Carter, Jordan Bedford has joined Excel as Partnership Manager. With 3 years of experience in business development and sale, Bedford will help grow and maintain Excel’s commercial portfolio. Elle Garner also joins Excel from Bristol Student Union, where she was responsible for managing commercial media sales and advertising opportunities. Garner will join the team to help interpret data, using key business concepts and decision-making to help guide Excel growth.

The newest member to join the Excel commercial team is Owen Betterbridge. Betterbridge previously worked at Human Race, managing their partners and sponsors across mass participation events. He joins Excel with a plethora of partnerships experience, with the hope of growing the Excel partnership portfolio.

Excel recently committed 20 million in funding to see the brand developer. The investment was made in hopes of generating new and bold commercial partnerships, both in the UK and abroad. So far the new team has attracted partnerships with world-famous brands such as Chupa Chups, Sony, Beyond NRG, and AndaSeat. With the investment and wealth of experience the new team members bring, there is no doubt the next commercial year will be strong for Excel.
