Fighting your way through the Commonwealth in Fallout 4 is damn difficult. Fighting while you’re wearing a piece of the Brotherhood of Steel’s finest piece of technology, power armor, makes it a little easier. With tons of variants of power armor scattered throughout the game, one set reigns supreme, that is the X-01 Set.
The X-01 power armor is the strongest in the game; there is a variant found in Nuka World but this can be found in the base game. The full set provides a combined 1,220 damage reduction, 790 energy resistance and 1050 radiation resistance. These are the stats for the base set. Its upgrades bring even more protection.
Note that in order for the X-01 armor to spawn, the Sole Survivor must reach level 28. If the Survivor is not level 28, a regular T-45 set will spawn instead.
To find the power armor, fast travel to the Custom House Tower, East of the Financial District.
From there, travel west until you see the building labeled 35 Court.
Once in the building, take the elevator in the lobby to the top of the building. At the top, you will have to fight off a sentry bot and an assaultron. After defeating the two robots, enter their charge pods and press the buttons to open the door guarding the X-01.
If the player has already entered the area and destroyed the robots without getting the armor, the alarms will not sound again when you return, leaving you unable to open the doors and collect the set.

Some incomplete sets spawn in different locations on the map, but this chamber will have the power armor set every time.
