Coming out with the win on a three map series against NUTURN, Fnatic complete a miraculous Lower-Bracket run to reach the Grand-Finals of Masters: Reykjavík.

After Sentinels knocked them down on their second series of the event, the team defeated four teams to seal their spot in what will be a grudge match for the title of best VALORANT team in the World.

Fnatic complete the Lower-Bracket run and reach top 3 of Masters: Reykjavík. Knocked down by Sentinels, the European squad went on to defeat X10, Version1 and now Team Liquid to book a

Keeping in tune with the map veto we had just seen at the EU derby, we would get Bind as first map and Ascent as second. For the decider however, we would get Haven instead of Split.

Fnatic would jump ahead with yet another solid offensive performance on Bind, but the 8-4 score by the half would be overturned by the loss of second pistol round, with the Koreans picking up some good momentum.

However, as soon as the rifles came online, Jake “Boaster” Howlett became a turret on the B side, forcing NUTURN to shift their focus towards the A site. Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev was more than ready to give them a warm welcome.

With NUTURN unable to find any solutions, Fnatic’s In-Game Leader made sure to close out the map earlier, with a triple-kill to complete the 13-8.

The Korean squad would have a resurgence on Ascent, with Jung “Peri” Bum-ki finding a lot of impact on Astra.

Reversing the 8-4 score of the first map, NUTURN was looking to complete Ascent on record time. In a stroke of genius, Derke managed to deny them match-point and motivate his teammates to hunt the comeback.

The Finn would strike again, this time with NUTURN at match-point. However, another quad-kill on the post-plant would not be enough to keep Fnatic alive for much longer.

With Kim “Lakia” Jong-min opening the round on a Sova ultimate, NUTURN would push through the finish line and close it on yet another 13-8 score.

The third and final map of the series was Haven. Fnatic was off to a good smart, repeating the mantra of the series and concluding the first half on a favourable 8-4 lead.

The Europeans strung together three rounds and were now just two away from reaching the Grand Finals of the event. NUTURN replied with a three round streak of their own. Fnatic pressed match-point.
