Genshin Impact Amber Guide: Gearing and Ascension

Updated:

Genshin Impact Amber is the most divided character of the fan base, some people absolutely can not stand her, while other are head over heels in love with this Pyro user, that being said she can still be a viable character for your free to play needs.

Here we will go over how to build Amber to make her into a massive damage dealing machine to stand among the rest of the 5 star characters.

What is the best weapon for Amber?

Being a bow character already give her an edge over a lot of other Pyro characters, with every auto being able to apply her elemental damage, once charged. Like most bow users who rely on aim shot damage you are going to want to set her up with either a Skyward Harp or a Rust bow.

The Skyward Harp is a5 star bow drop from the Epitome Invocation banner, and as stated before I don’t feel rolling on weapon banners are worth it, so equiping her with a Rust bow will give her a massive damage buff.

What Artifacts should you use for Amber?

Amber is a Pyro user so you are going to want to put her with a Wanderer’s Troupe set for her Increases Charged Attack DMG by 35%, with the focus of ATK% / Pyro DMG / CRIT DMG for sub stats.

Another option is a two piece Crimson Witch of Flames set with a two piece Gladiator’s Finale set, though that tends to be more of a support Amber build.

How do you Ascend Amber?

Genshin Impact Amber requires the Pyro Regisvine flower boss, for the 48 Everflame Seed, as well as the Agnidus Agate drops. She is pretty simple to farm the rest of the materials for, which are just Small Lamp Grass, which you can get/ have a stock pile of from doing the battle pass weekly quest.

And the Arrowhead drops from farming archer Hilichurls.

As for talent materials she needs 9 Teachings of Freedom, 63 Guide to Freedom, and 114 Philosophies of Freedom. She also needs the Davalin drop Dvalin’s Sigh, from the weekly boss. Lastly like her Ascension materials she needs to farm more Arrowheads.

Amber Conclusion

Having a bow character makes the game so much more enjoyable, and Amber is a good option to fill in that void. Even though she is free to play character you can still make her viable by giving her a little extra attention, plus her taunting rabbit makes for kiting mobs way easier.

Overall even though the community seems to be divided about her character development and usefulness in the story, she still can make for a viable character to help you progress the story line.
