Genshin Impact co-op functionality is extremely fun, its a great place to meet random people and farm domains.
For a lot of people going into co-op with random people for the first time can be extremely stressful here are a few tips on how to make sure you and the people you are in co-op can enjoy their time.

Don’t be afraid to talk in co-op.
People who go for domain runs are often grinding a few of them out at a time, and running the same domain over and over can be extremely mundane. Having a conversation in between runs can make finding new people who leave or any downtime for load screens way more enjoyable.
This also allows for you to find people to consistently run domains with afterwards so you don’t have to farm with a bunch of random players all the time.
DPS/Support/What role do I play for co-op?
No one is forcing you to play a specific role, though if you are flexible to swap characters around play a support, it can make or break a domain run. A lot of the times having a decent healer can be more impactful that having 4 DPS.
Don’t demand someone to change the way their character is played.
This one is probably one of the most annoying ones to deal with, if you are generally curious on how they built their character, that’s fine; most people are okay with talking about different builds, but do not be that person to stop the domain and scream at a person because of the artifacts they are using.
People have their teams set up how they want to, and to demand that someone who flexed healer for the group change everything and put level 0 artifacts because their healer was doing more damage than the domain leader’s Diluc whilst keeping everyone alive is quite obnoxious and disrespectful.

Don’t Steal
This tip should be a given, but there are some people that don’t understand, just because people go into multiplayer is not an invitation for you to randomly join their world and take all of their resources.
Most players are extremely courteous anyway, so all it takes to not rub someone the wrong way is to ask if they could spare any of the resources you need.
Depending on the person they might even have Klee or Qiqi and take you around finding them anyway.
Have fun
The main rule I would say is to have fun, and once you get use to co-op play it will become a breeze, and don’t let one bad experience ruined the multiplayer aspect of the game. There are millions of players on the game, you are bound to run into a few obnoxious players in your time.
