Genshin Impact Ganyu has one of the highest burst damage for bow users in the game. On-top of being one of the strongest element in the game, Cyro; they really stacked Ganyu to be one of the best carries in the game.
Ganyu is the brains of Liyue, taking on complex tasks that those who are everyday citizens could not fathom to understand. Not just the secretary of one leader, no this amazing woman works under and for every citizen in Liyue, improving the well-being of all that want to live, travel, vacation, and more.
Ganyu’s Weapon
Her best bow is using the Amos’ bow, a 5 star pulled through the gatcha weapon banner, the bow:
Increases Normal Attack and Aimed Shot DMG by 12/15/18/21/24%. Increases DMG from arrows shot by a further 8/10/12/14/16% for every 0.1s that the arrow is in flight, up to 0.5s. Stacks up to 5 times on each arrow. (MiHoYo).
That being said this bow pairs up extremely well with her ability to stand at range and consistently proc her second aim shot passive, where the arrows shatter and do massive AOE damage.
Ganyu’s Artifacts
To get the most DPS out of Ganyu and the Amos’ bow you also want to par that with a 4 piece Wanderer’s Troupe set artefact set. The 4-piece bonus gives “increases Charged Attack DMG by 35% if the character uses a Catalyst or Bow.” (MiHoYo)
That paired with consistently shooting a fully charged Aim shot means for massive damage buffs for your Ganyu.
Ganyu’s Playstyle
A lot of hate is shifted to these players due to the “repetitive” combat style of standing back and spamming aim shot from a distance.
Though even though it is true that the majority of their damage does come from utilizing the aim shot damage and the increase DPS from a distance this character still can solo carry 4 person domains, solo.
Standing at a distance is key, when using the Amos’ bow, though you still want to utilize your other abilities, your ice Lotus acts as an AOE taunt that draws players in and gives you a dash backwards to further the distance between you and them.
Possible Team Comp
As long as you play Ganyu at ranged, she is one of few champions that actually doesn’t need a team around her. Her damage is insane by base, so she can solo clear most content.
Though pair her with a Venti to gather all the mobs in one area, and a Bennett to give her the melt damage, and that will lead you you hitting well above a 70k crit.
Qiqi is also a very viable pick for her, due to her healing being astronomically superior to most other healers in the game.
