Genshin Impact: How to Use Elemental Sight

Updated:

Genshin Impact has a large and vast world to explore; and exploring is a very important concept of the game. For instance, it can lead to treasure chests, ingredients to farm, enemy spawns, and random quests. Although exploring the world can be overwhelming, players can use elemental sight to make it easier.

What is elemental sight in Genshin Impact?

Elemental sight is a great exploration utility in Genshin Impact. This ability allows players to see objects that can be interacted with, based on the highlighted color. From secrets to ingredients, and enemies, this guide will help players give a deeper understanding of elemental sight in Genshin Impact.

How to use elemental sight in Genshin Impact

To use elemental sight, players can press the UI button (on mobile), holding the middle mouse button on PC, or the left bumper + Dpad on the controller. Furthermore, when casting elemental sight, there will be a white line that traces the distance of how far the sight reaches.

As mentioned before, elemental sight can highlight interactable objects. For this purpose, elemental sight can make it easier to gather ingredients. Frogs, for example, can be difficult to spot while catching them; so using elemental sight can make it easier to catch.

In addition, elemental sight can grant players vision of elemental trails. Elemental trails can lead to resources, treasures chests, and other objects. For example, a great use of elemental sight is by activating it next to a Seelie statue. This will bring up an elemental trail and lead players in the general direction of where the Seelie is.

Elemental sight can also be used in various ways. It can highlight rocks that can be destroyed, highlight footsteps during quests, and NPCs. Although elemental sight is a great utility if the player moves while elemental sight is activated then it will deactivate. Players can activate elemental sight while moving. However, it will only be activated for a short period of time.

In spite of the short activation, using elemental sight during battle is a great tool. Moving and fighting is a reason why elemental sight has a short activation. This utility will give players an upper hand during combat.

When objects or enemies are inflicted by an element, they will be highlighted in a certain color. Below is a table that will define what each color means. In addition, some but not all examples of objects and enemies are listed below.

Understanding the colors can let players adapt during battle. Below is an example of utilizing elemental sight against enemies and objects.

In this instance, the enemy is inflicted with electro (purple) due to being previously inflicted with hydro (blue). In conclusion, players will know what elemental reaction to deal damage with or to avoid.
