Genshin Impact Hu Tao: Guide To Gearing & Playstyle

Published:

Genshin Impact never fails to bring more amazing characters to its roster, this time we meet Hu Tao a Pyro Pole Arm user. She is introduced as the boss of Zhongli. She is the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

Her eccentric personality shines through during her quest and her wanting to normalize the idea of death, saying that everyone is eventually going to be a consumer of her coffins.

Her sickly sweet appearance partnered with her dark coloured outfit and eclectic animations make for her to be an amazing starting DPS.

Genshin Impact Hu Tao: Materials to Farm Talent

For the Talent materials, you need to farm Childe, from the Golden House in Liyue. You need to hope to get the Shard of a Foul Legacy drop and you need 18 of them.

That being said farming for these talent materials takes a long time, due to also being able to get any of the other three drops.

You also need to farm 9Teachings of Diligence” 63 Guide to Diligence, and 114 Philosophies of Diligence, from the Taishan Mansion domain, on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

Lastly needing whopper flowers to wrap up the last of the talent materials.

Playstyle And Team Comp

Her playstyle is pretty unique, we haven’t seen another character that sacrifices their own life to gain more damage. Though she is can then also heal herself to full with her ult, so it makes her really hard to be able to do group play with her.

She needs to just have supports that buff her damage, and not apply for any healing benefits. As a Hu Tao main you are going to have to get used to dodging and balancing your own HP bar.

Characters like Bennett, and Mona for the increased damage buff, and melt damage make for massive crit numbers.
