Genshin Impact comes with a compelling story campaign, and combat mechanics which makes it stand out from other popular titles in the genre. Since the release, Mona has distinguished herself among the best characters in the game. She is a 5-star rarity character who can “divide”: she’s able to do great damage at high level but is used more as a support to allow other DPS to come and hit the monster, we can consider her as a hybrid character.
Mona Character Introduction
Mona is an astrologist who takes her passion seriously. She combines her astrology skills with hydromancy, which makes her a well-known, if still growing astrologist. In part due to her astrology, Mona can tell whether or not a person is lying and can even sense their intentions just from a single glance.
Element: Hydro
Weapon: Catalyst
She’s more of a support than a damage dealer, with most of her attacks either offering up decent crowd-control or an illusion that attracts enemy fire.
A mysterious young astrologer who proclaims herself to be “Astrologist Mona Megistus,” and who possesses abilities to match the title. Erudite, but prideful. Though she is often strapped for cash and lives a life of thrift, she is resolved to never use astrology for profit… It is this very resolution that has caused her to constantly fret about money.

Her most appealing trait is her Elemental Skill, the source of her high mobility. With a press, she summons a Phantom to take hits in her team’s place, rapidly applying Wet to all targets nearby when it eventually explodes. By holding the skill, however, she can summon the illusionary Phantom after phasing in and out of sight, allowing her to quickly drop the Phantom into melee range.

Best Artifacts and Weapons for Mona
Mona excels at empowering DPS units through the use of her Burst Skill making energy recharge incredibly valuable.
The best Artifacts for Mona should increase her various Elemental stats, since she is extremely flexible regarding this. On this matter, the Noblesse Oblige set is great for people who want to focus on increasing Elemental Burst DMG. A more common set, the Exile set is great for increasing Mona’s Elemental Recharge by 20%. The Instructor set is also great, and extremely common in Genshin Impact, since it will increase Mona’s Elemental Mastery.
The Favonius Codex is the best weapon for Mona, since critical hits will generate an Elemental Orb, which will restore 6 Energy. This is especially important for causing damage, and for triggering quick Elemental Reactions alongside Electro users like Lisa. The spellbook can be hard to obtain through gacha pulls, but the Otherworldly Story is more common and still works pretty well. It will increase Mona’s ATK and Energy Restore, and the Orbs it generates can also restore Mona’s health.
