Genshin Impact: Razor Character Guide

Updated:

Genshin Impact is a game with a lot of playable characters, this Razor Guide should help you decide if he is the right one for your team. Below is everything you need to know about this agile fighter, who was raised by wolves!

In Genshin Impact, you need a team to take on everything Teyvat throws at you. Through the Prologue Chapter, Archon Quest, players gain access to a starter team. However, with elemental attacks a huge focus in combat, you might be looking to change up your team composition. But, what if you need a hand deciding?

This guide will have everything you need to know about Razor, one of the unlockable playable characters in Genshin Impact.

In the world of Genshin Impact, Razor is a ‘ wolf boy ‘ with little experience interacting with humans. He’s generally good-natured and largely protective of his wolf pack. As a playable character, he wields a Claymore as his weapon and utilises the Electro element.

Razor’s titles include Wolf Boy, on account of his being raised by Wolves, and Legend of Wolvendom. Without any experience adhering to the social machinations of society in Mondstadt, Razor is often blunt with his statements. He is, however, often as honest as he can be.

Below, we’ve included the official character description of Razor:

“ Some say he is an orphan raised by wolves. Others say he is a wolf spirit in human form. He is most at home in the wild, fighting with claw and thunder. To this day the wolf boy can be found prowling the forest, where he and his wolf pack hunt to survive using nothing more than their animal instincts.”

Genshin Impact Razor Character Guide

First things first, this Genshin Impact Klee Character Guide is going to discuss Razor’s Talents. These are the attacks and buffs that are unique to Razor.

Following from this, we’re going to cover Razor’s Constellation, his base stats, and then finally his Ascension Requirements. This Razor Character Guide aims to be an easy-to-access information dump for all the basics you’d need if you want to add him to your Genshin Impact team. Therefore, below that I’ll add a couple comments about things like Team Composition and the Strengths and Weaknesses Razor has.

Razor’s Talents

Steel Fang – Normal/ Charged Attack

Steel Fang Is Razor’s Normal/ Charged Attack. During this, Razor attacks consecutively with his Claymore to great effect.

Normally, this attack consists of Razor performing up to 4 strikes consecutively. Charged, it uses Stamina to continuously swirl attacks at enemies with a powerful flourish at the end of the combo. As a plunging attack, Razor deals AoE DMG as he strikes the ground below.

Claw and Thunder – Elemental Skill

This is Razor’s Elemental Skill. With this, Razor can attack in two different ways. If you press this ability, he swings the Thunder Wolf Claw to deal Electro DMG. Upon a successful hit, he gains an Electro Sigil ( Max Stack 3) that increases Energy Recharge Rate. If you hold this ability, he deals Electro DMG by summoning a lightning storm in a small AoE. This clears all of his Electro Sigils, converting them into Energy for Razor.

Lightning Fang – Elemental Burst

This is Razor’s Elemental Burst attack. This summons the Wolf Within, dealing Electro DMG to all nearby enemies and clearing Razor’s Electro Sigils.

The Wolf Within also attacks alongside Razor for the duration of this ability, increasing Razor’s ATK SPD, Electro RES, Electro DMG, and resistance to interruption.

Awakening – Passive Talent 1

This decreases the CD of Claw and Thunder by 18%, while also adding the ability to reset the CD of Claw and Thunder when Lightning Fang is used.

Hunger – Passive Talent 2

When Razor’s Energy is below 50%, he gains a 30% increase in Energy Recharge Rate.

Wolvensprint – Passive Talent 3

This decreases the Stamina consumption of sprinting for all characters in your party by 20%, but doesn’t stack.

Razor’s Constellation

Wolf’s Instinct – Constellation Level 1

Picking up an Elemental Orb or Particle increases Razor’s DMG by 10% for 8s.

Suppression – Constellation Level 2

Increases CRIT Rate against enemies below 30% HP by 10%.

Soul Companion – Constellation Level 3

Increases level of Lightning Fang by 3, with a Max Level of 15.

Bite – Constellation Level 4

When activating Claw and Thunder ( Press ), enemy DEF is decreased by 15% for 7s.

Sharpened Claws – Constellation Level 5

Increases the level of Claw and Thunder by 3, with a Max Level of 15.

Lupus Fulguris – Constellation Level 6

Every 10s, Razor’s sword charges to give the next Normal Attack bonus Electro DMG equivalent to 100% of the stat. When Razor is not using Lightning Fang, a lightning strike from this will grant an Electro Sigil.

Razor’s Base Stats

Below, we’ve got all the basic statistics for Razor. Please note, the base ATK does not include the equipped weapon’s ATk value.

Thoughts On Razor?

Razor hits hard and can be hit hard. He has a high base HP and a pretty solid DEF stat. When increased to Ascension 6, his Physical DMG is increased by 30% too! He uses a combination of Electro DMG and Physical DMG attacks that make him a bit more adaptable than some other characters.

Suppression makes Razor a fantastic finisher, by increasing CRIT Rate against enemies with low HP, and building around Stamina will help him maintain a consistent DMG output with Steel Fang.

Constellation Level 6, Lupus Fulgris, works well with bringing in buffs for Claw and Thunder. It may take a bit of practice to ensure you’re using his abilities in the right order, but he has a huge DMG output potential when levelled.

He is also useful to have on a mixed team due to Wolvensprint, which reduces the Stamina Consumption of sprinting by 20% for all party members.

Razor is an adaptable addition to any team, and is most effective against those with a lower Electro RES.
