Genshin Impact Spec Requirements for PC, PS4, and Mobile

Genshin Impact has taken the world by storm, already racking up over $100 million in sales during its first 2 weeks. The free-to-play Chinese RPG has been likened to The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, and that isn’t a bad thing. Another great feature of the game is that it is completely cross-platform and allows you to play up to 4 player across any device, either PC, PS4, or Android/iOS. But can your device run it? Here are the spec requirements for the game.

PC Specs

Recommended configuration:

  • OS – Windows 7 SP1 64 bit, Windows 8.1 64 bit, or Windows 10 64 bit
  • Processor – Intel Core i7 equivalent (AMD Ryzen 7) or better
  • Memory – 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB and better
  • DirectX Version 11
  • Storage – 30GB hard drive space

Minimum Configuration

  • OS – Windows 7 SP1 64 bit, Windows 8.1 64 bit, or Windows 10 64 bit
  • Processor – Intel Core i5 equivalent (AMD Ryzen 5) or better
  • Memory – 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 and better
  • DirectX Version 11
  • Storage – 30GB hard drive space

Overall the PC requirements are very reasonable. They don’t give any specific model of CPU, like most games do, but it is likely the game should run fine on most modern devices. If you have a PC with a CPU that is either Ryzen 5 1st gen or newer, or 6th gen Intel i5 or newer, that should run the game fine. The GTX 1060 is the standard for GPUs now, in 2020 you shouldn’t really be using less than that, meaning majority of players will meet that requirement for the recommended specs. The minimum requirement only requires a GT 1030, a £70 GPU that is often associated with “potato” builds, if you actively game on your PC you will likely have a GPU better than this.

The requirements are very fair and most PC gamers should have a good experience running this game. My personal rig currently uses a Ryzen 3700X and Nvidia GTX 1070 and I run the game at 1080p/60fps with no frame drop.

PS4 Specs

The good thing about console is that you don’t have to worry about specs and all of that technical stuff. Instead you just need to worry about having enough space on your hard drive. Genshin Impact takes approximately 30GB of storage, so not super demanding and it shouldn’t be difficult to free up space if needed to install it.

Android Specs

Here are the requirements to play Genshin Impact on Android devices:

Recommended configuration:

  • CPU – Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, Kirin 810 and better
  • Memory – 4GB RAM
  • OS – Android 8.1 and above
  • Storage – 8GB space

Minimum Configuration

  • Compatibility requirements – Arm v8a 64 bit
  • Memory – 3GB RAM
  • OS – Android 7.0 and above
  • Storage – 8GB space

Overall they’re pretty reasonable, if you have a phone that is around the Samsung Galaxy S7 or newer then it’ll probably be able to run no problem. The biggest issue is it takes a huge 8GB, which doesn’t sound like much but in terms of mobile storage it is a lot.

iOS Specs

Here are the listed devices that are compatitble with the game, they also need 8GB of storage and be running iOS 9.0 or above:

  • iPhone 8+
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone 11 Pro
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone SE (2nd Generation)
  • iPad Air (3rd Generation)
  • iPad mini (5th Generation)
  • iPad Pro (2nd Generation) 12.9 inches
  • iPad Pro (2nd Generation) 10.5 inches
  • iPad Pro (3rd Generation) 11 inches
  • iPad Pro (3rd Generation) 12.9 inches
  • iPad Pro (4th Generation) 11 inches
  • iPad Pro (4th Generation) 12.9 inches
