Genshin Impact: Where to Find Wheat

Updated:

Wheat in Genshin Impact is one of the more overlooked resources. It’s used in the Pigeon, Duck & Child quest, but more importantly, it can be processed into wheat; a key ingredient in heaps of cooking recipes. But without knowing where to look, finding wheat might prove to be a bit of a hassle when starting off.

Method 1 – Drunkard Gorge

One of the easiest places to look for wheat is Drunkard Gorge; a former marketplace area now teeming with Hilichurls. This area is the most consistent place to farm wheat, netting you around 8-10 pieces of wheat per run. It’s conveniently located south of Mondstadt, and just northwest of Springvale. You’ll find wheat here, amongst other resources, primarily through searching and investigating crates and stalls around the area.

You’ll also find a campfire on each end of the gorge, so if you’re in a rush to process your hard earned wheat, this area is perfect for you.

Method 2 – Merchants and vendors

A more efficient and consistent way of obtaining wheat however, would be from merchants. Given that you have enough Mora to spare, merchants will gladly sell you up to 100 pieces of wheat per day for 100 Mora a pop. The two merchants you’ll be looking for are the General Goods Shops in Mondstadt, and Second Life in Liyue Harbor.

This method leaves you with more time on your hands, and if you’re swimming in Mora it’s a good way to spend your money too. If you reach Reputation Rank 4 in either of the shops’ respective regions (Mondstadt and Liyue), you’ll even earn yourself a 10% discount in each store.
