Selecting and changing display names in games like The Cycle: Frontier, allow players to further immerse themselves in those worlds. Players who want to fully take on the role of a character will often want to use a display name that is unique and different from their own.
In The Cycle: Frontier some players have also run into the issue of their display name appearing as a single letter. This often happens if players have an unrecognizable character in their existing display name. This issue can also be solved by manually changing the display name to remove those characters.
How to Change Display Name in The Cycle: Frontier (Epic Games)
There currently is no way for players to change their display within The Cycle: Frontier. However, players can change their display name through Epic Games Store if that’s where they play the game.
Players will first need to access their Epic Games Store account page in the browser. This can be done using two methods. The first one is by going to the Epic Games Store directly on a browser. Once logged in players will want to go to their account information page, and make sure they are in the general tab.
The second method players can use is clicking the account button in the Epic Games launcher. This will open the account information page in the player’s browser of choice.
Once the account information page is open, players can click on the blue pencil icon next to their current display name. This will bring up a popup window that will list their current name and two boxes to input the new display name.
It’s important to note that once players change their display name, they will not be able to change it again for two weeks. This name will also become their display name on all games in their Epic library. This means if players are using specific roleplay intended names, in other games, those will also change.
How to Change Display Name in The Cycle: Frontier (Steam)
The Cycle: Frontier players using Steam, will have to update their name through their platform profile as well. If players open Steam, they will then need to select the “Friends” tab at the top of the page. They will then need to select “Edit Profile Name/Avatar…” and it will open their about page.
Players can also access this page by going to their profile, and by clicking their username on the right side of the page. The about me page can then be accessed by clicking the “Edit Profile” button beneath their Steam level number.
In the general tab, there will be three sections, however, players will only need to update the first section. To change the accounts profile name, players will just need to erase the existing profile name and replace it with their new name.
Players will then need to scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Save”. This will update the display name across all games in their Steam library. Steam does allow players to change this name an infinite number of times.
