If you play Forza Horizon 4 long enough you will build a collection of unwanted cars in your garage. You can get these removed from your garage and earn some extra credits to put toward buying or tuning your next car. Here are 2 different ways to sell cars in Forza Horizon 4.
List Cars on The Auction House
The auction house has been a staple feature in the Forza games since Forza Motorsport 2. It’s a community marketplace with a bidding format.
The auction house isn’t only great for selling cars in Forza Horizon 4 but also for expanding your garage. You will be able to find great deals on cars that make a fantastic addition to your collection.
Before we dive into some key info, here’s how to list cars on the auction house:
- Find your way to the Festival Site
- Go to the Auction House tab from the top menu
- Click the Start Auction menu item with the red car
- Choose which car you would like to list
- Set starting price, a buyout price, and auction length
- Select confirm
The length of auctions can be set anywhere from 1 to 24 hours.
You can search vehicle makes and models in the auction house and see what they sell for. This will give you a better idea of what your car is worth to other players.
Selling common vehicles can be difficult as most players also don’t want them. For common vehicles set the starting and buyout prices as low as possible for a higher chance of selling. You can also try tuning them to make them more attractive.
It’s worth noting that skills points on your car will transfer over to the new owner when sold at the auction house.
Horizon Wheelspin Duplicates
The Horizon Wheelspin styled as a slot machine lets you spin for prizes that can include vehicles. You will be given spins when you reach a new driver level, purchase them for 100 FP, or as a Horizon Life reward.
When you roll a Horizon Wheelspin and get a car you already have in your garage, you will get the option to receive the cars selling value or add another copy to your garage.
While this isn’t technically selling your car in Forza Horizon 4 it might be a better option for vehicles commonly found in the Horizon Wheelspin.
