G2 Esports has announced this Wednesday that Kenny ‘KennyS’ Schrub has been removed from the active roster and is allowed to explore new opportunities. Audric ‘Jackz’ Jug, that has been for the most part inactive since the addition of Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kovač, will take over his place.
The team had an underwhelming start of the year, quickly falling in form after the initial streak of wins following the addition of NiKo in October of last year. After failing to reach the play-offs of IEM Katowice 2021, G2 has pulled the plug on one of its longest-standing members.
KennyS has been playing under the G2 jersey for four years, as an original member of the 2017 French “super-team” featuring the likes of Richard ‘shox’ Papillon and Nathan ‘NBK’ Schmitt. The wielder of the Big Green has remained throughout a number of changes, even as the squad went international in 2019.

We all feel that, though difficult, a new home for him will be a great opportunity to remain at the top. We are excited to have Jackz return to the team, bringing his flair, creativity and a new balance to the team”

With KennyS out of the picture, NiKo will be taking over the AWP inside the server, one role he has played before in FaZe Clan and Mousesports while occasionally accomodating for In-Game Leader duties.
Nemanja ‘nexa’ Isaković will have little time to prepare this new line-up, as G2 is bound to kick-off its ESL Pro League Season 13 campaign in just a week, facing off Ninjas in Pyjamas in their opening match.
