The 2021 LCS Season is almost upon us! With a new look and format comes a new roster of on-air talent. We’re taking a closer look at the casters and analysts coming to your favourite League of Legends region, the LCS.
There’s a lot of League of Legends information at the moment, we know. But, this one is worth knowing. It’s all about the casters and on-air talent that will be helping to make your League of Legends esports experience better than the last! This year we have a healthy mix of returning talent and fresh faces to carry us through the year.
Returning talent from 2020
Almost the entire broadcast team from Summer Split of 2020 is set to return with the exception of one Neil “Pr0lly” Hammad. From the on-air host’s Dash and LeTigress guiding the desk segments.
The desk analysts MarkZ and Crumbz who attempt to anticipate what teams plans may be for the day, break down the games after they conclude, discuss the team’s strength’s, weaknesses and rank how they perform in the current meta.
We can’t forget about the game’s commentators from play-by-play shout casters like CaptainFlowers, Rivington, Phreak and Pastrytime who bring excitement to the games most entertaining plays. To the colour casters in Azael and Kobe who let us know the thought process of not only the teams but also occasionally the individual players in the game.
New talent joining the for 2021
The broadcast team has been bolstered by talent from various background’s. From former professional players like Allorim and Hai who may be able to give insight into not only their roles but player experiences.
Emily Rand, a former journalist who has worked for websites like ESPN, Yahoo, and theScore, bringing her experience to the team can only be a good thing. Former Golden Guardians Academy Coach and LPL commentator “Razleplasm” also joins could help North America better understand and takedown the powerful Chinese teams.
Last, but certainly not least is Derrick “ThatsPrimal” Asiedu, a commentator for Riot Games who has worked a number of their past TFT events.

This LCS rebrand along with its new influx seems to be a step in the right direction for the brand.
