League of Legends Patch 10.20 – Worlds Clash 2020

Updated:
League of Legends patch 10.20

With Worlds 2020 already underway, Riot released the new League of Legends patch 10.20 to the public. We’re going to cover the changes & comment on the most significant ones. Also, remember that Worlds Clash 2020 is on its way with 16-team brackets & glorious prizes! (Check your client for more information )

Aatrox

R – World Ender

  • Self-healing: 50/60/70% >>> 50/75/100%

This buff will help Aatrox in the later stages of the game. The healing buff is significant: it will be important to see, however, how that will be affected with healing reduction items. ( Grevious Wounds )

Braum

Q – Winter’s Bite

  • Base damage: 60/110/160/210/260 >>> 75/125/175/225/275
  • Cost: 55/60/65/70/75 mana >>> 45/50/55/60/65 mana

Braum is finally getting some love, although it might still not be enough to push him back into the meta. With that being said, people might pick him against certain team comps or certain botlane duos, especially with hypercarries.

Illaoi

Passive – Prophet of an Elder God

  • Tentacle spawn cooldown: 20 to 12 seconds (scales every 2 levels) >>> 20 to 7.25 seconds (scales every level)

The scaling every level is going to help Illoai post laning phase for sure, as she can become a good counterpick against certain top laners.

Karthus

Armor: 20.88 >>> 18

Kassadin

Q – Null Sphere

  • Shield: 60/85/110/135/160 >>> 40/70/100/130/160

This will surely impact Kassadin’s survivability in the early game, but he’s still going to be a menace if piloted well-

Katarina

Passive – Voracity

  • Dagger retrieval damage ratio: 1.0 bonus attack damage >>> 0.75 bonus attack damage

Kled

Magic resistance: 32.1 >>> 28

Lulu

W – Whimsy

  • Bonus attack speed: 25/30/35/40/45% >>> 20/23.75/27.5/31.25/35%

This nerf is bigger than it seems, as it will impact partially the damage output at all stages of the game.

Maokai

Q – Bramble Smash

  • Bonus damage: 70/115/160/205/250 >>> 70/110/150/190/230

Nunu

Armor: 32 >>> 29

Ryze

W – Overload

  • Base damage: 65/90/115/140/165 >>> 75/100/125/150/175

Sion

Q – Decimating Smash

  • Damage ratio to monsters: 1.0 attack damage >>> 1.5 attack damage

Watch out for this change as Sion Jungle might see some light… he has good ganking ability, although it requires specific set-up.

Urgot

Passive – Echoing Flames

  • Damage to monsters: 60 to 360 >>> 100 to 360

W – Purge

  • Modified damage: 50 to minions >>> 50 to minions and monsters

Similarly to Sion, Urgot might be even more present in the jungle as his dueling ability is far stronger than Sion.

Varus

E – Hail of Arrows

  • Base damage: 50/90/130/170/210 >>> 60/100/140/180/220

R – Chain of Corruption

  • Cooldown: 130/100/70 seconds >>>120/90/60 seconds

After falling out of meta, Varus is getting some love as well. Reverting some of the changes, hoping he can add some variety to the bot lane meta…

Runes

Relentless Hunter

  • Out-of-combat movement bonus: 10 movement speed (+9 movement speed per Bounty Hunter stack) (up to 55 at five stacks) >>> 5 movement speed (+8 movement speed per Bounty Hunter stack) (up to 45 at five stacks)

Not a significant change, although some junglers will feel the ms drop.
