League of Legends Patch 10.9 notes

Patch 10.9 is now available

Here are the patch 10.9 notes. The final patch of this split sees Riot nerfing Nami and Karthus and buffing some top lane champions. Riot have also shown some love to Quinn and Lissandra whilst making additional adjustments to Wukong. It also introduces the FPX World Championships skin line.

Patch 10.9 Visual Summary

Buffs

Cho’Gath

Cho’Gath’s “Vorpal Blades” has its damage increased in later ranks.

Fiddlesticks

Fiddlesticks’ E, “Reap”, has a significant damage buff at aiding him in the support role to poke the enemy duo.

Gnar

Gnar’s mega form has been buffed with increased cooldown refund for “Boulder Toss” and increased damage for his E, “Crunch”.

Kayn

Kayn’s Q cooldown has been reduced at all ranks with bonus damage now also applying to minions which will primarily affect him in the top lane with the Rhaast transformation.

His W now has a greater decaying slow which will improve his ganks and skirmishes.

Lissandra

Lissandra sees a cooldown decrease on her Q “Ice Shard” at early levels. This is in response to some of the nerfs Riot has implemented in the past.

Quinn

Quinn’s Q has its nearsight duration increased amidst buffs to her fellow melee top laners.

Sanguine Blade

Sanguine blade has its cost decreased and attack damage increased. It’s a niche item that Quinn will almost certainly utilise more this patch.

Nerfs

Bard

Bard’s W “Caretaker’s Shrine” movement speed has been reduced and cooldown increased.

Magical Journey’s cooldown has also been increased at all ranks, lowering his overall utility.

Karthus

Karthus’ base movement speed has been decreased as Riot try to control his jungle clear speed.

Nami

Riot have significantly nerfed Nami’s passive movement speed bonus from “Surging Tides”.

Her base health and mana stats have also taken a hit which will impact her early game sustain.

Trundle

Trundle’s ultimate “Subjugate” has had its cooldown increased. He now has a wider window where he is vulnerable.

Wukong

Further nerfs to bring Wukong to heel include decreased base armour and decreased damage on “Crushing Blow”  and “Warrior Trickster” at all ranks.

ARAM

Buffs

Both Nocturne and Zed have been buffed with increased damage dealt and reduced damage taken

Nerfs

Galio has increased damage taken, increased from base.

Ugort has decreased damage dealt, decreased from base.

Xin Zhao has increased damage taken, back up to normal.
