MAD Lions Resurface on CS:GO With New Six-Man International Squad

Updated:

Having been reduced to just one player, MAD Lions have announced this Tuesday the signing of a brand new international CS:GO six-player roster coached by former Virtus Pro player and manager Jakub ‘kuben’ Gurczynsk.

MAD Lions reached the end of the road with its Danish squad after the departure of Frederik ‘AcoR’ Gyldstrand to Mousesports and the duo Rasmus ‘Sjuush’ Beck and Ismail ‘Refrezh’ Ali moved to Heroic.

At the beginning of March, the Spanish organisation had just one player in its squad, with Thomas ‘TMB’ Bundsbæk set to be the only player landing the transition from their former Danish squad to its brand new line-up.

To help TMB, MAD Lions has enlisted a number of FPL pundits, starting with the two marksmen Filip ‘tudson’ Tudev and Volodymyr ‘woro2k’ Veletniuk. Both players have demonstrated expertise with the “Big Green”, hinting towards a powerful double AWP setup.

Completing them will be the Spanish Pere ‘sausol’ Saumell, which was last seen standing-in for SAW, and the Baltic duo of Justinas ‘JL’ Lekavicius and Kristers ‘keen’ Dārznieks.

With none of its players exceeding 22 years of age, Jakub ‘kuben’ Gurczynski hopes to develop and nurture the talent of the youngsters on this new MAD Lions CS:GO line-up while remaining competitive at the highest level of Counter-Strike.

However, and despite the six players, the Polish coach hasn’t closed the door to any further additions, revealing that a seasoned in-game leader might be brought in later down the road.

The roster will make its debut in March 30th, at the Funspark ULTI 2021 Europe Regional Series 1 in which they are bound to meet Sprout at the opening round.
