Xbox 20/20 Here’s What You Missed From The Livestream

A Look To The Future of Xbox

Thursday, Microsoft launched its first episode of the revamped game showcase, Inside Xbox. This reboot is based on telling gamers more about the future of the console, the Xbox Series X. The first episode of Xbox 20/20 showcased new features and gameplay footage for games in the launch library of the next generation. Unfortunately, there will not be any gameplay for the Xbox Games Studios until July.

The first and most important feature for all gamers, especially those on a budget, is smart delivery. Smart delivery allows gamers to purchase a game once, and they will then have the best version of that game on any console they log into. For example, if you purchase Halo Infinite for the Xbox One but down the line you purchase the Series X, you will not have to buy a second copy of the game. This feature will work especially well for players who don’t want to commit to a whole new system. When the time comes to buy the next generation, they will already have a library to choose from.

Xbox Assassin's Creed
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Xbox Smart Delivery)

Microsoft showcased gameplay from ten games in their upcoming launch library. Not all games in this live stream are confirmed for smart delivery.

All of the Xbox Trailers You Missed:

Assassains Creed Valhalla – Ubisoft (Smart Delivery)

Bright Memory Infinite – Playism

Yakuza: Like A Dragon –  Sega (Smart Delivery)

Scorn – Ebb Software

Chorvs Rise As One – Deep Silver (Smart Delivery)

Madden 21 – EA (Smart Delivery)

VAMPIRE The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 – Paradox Interactive

Call of the Sea – Raw Fury

The Ascent – Neon Giant

The Medium – Bloober Team

Second Extinction – Systemic Reaction

Dirt 5  – Codemasters

While these games look amazing, the lack of Xbox Studios titles has caused a bit of skepticism on their quality. This is mostly due to the fact that Halo Infinite is on track to be the most important game on the console, yet we have seen nothing but non-gameplay trailers. One of the main factors that cause gamers to choose between consoles is the exclusives, and if Microsoft doesn’t give potential buyers of their console any idea of what they should be looking forward to, there may be a shift from the Series X to the Playstation 5.

Microsoft stated in a blog post that there will be monthly releases of the showcases in the run up of the console’s release. The Xbox Series X is set to launch during Holiday 2020, with Halo Infinite as its flagship game.

Sim Racing Drama – F1 vs IndyCar

Sim racing drama

The drama in sim racing was real this past weekend when former IndyCar champion Simon Pagenaud purposefully wrecked out F1 up-and-comer Lando Norris in an iRacing IndyCar event.
