NIP bench Lekr0, to add Hampus later this month

Updated:

Swedish organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas have removed Jonas ‘Lekr0’ Olofsson from their active lineup. The in-game leader spent close to two years with the team, winning not a single trophy. Hampus ‘hampus’ Poser will be replacing him.

The Swedish roster failed to make enough of an impact over the past few months, leading to the removal of Lekr0. The 26-year old joined NIP two years ago, replacing William ‘draken’ Sundlin. He quickly took over as IGL, but the team went through turbulent times ever since. In his time at the helm, Lekr0 saw roster shuffles, temporary stand-ins, and role swaps. He now becomes the last player to be let go by NIP, ending a tenure that saw mixed results.

Replacing him will be hampus. The young Swede has made quite a name for himself over the past few years. He had relatively successful periods on Red Reserve, Godsent, and Gamerlegion. This roster move will be the first time he plays in the highest echelon of Counterstrike. We will see his debut in Dreamhack Masters Spring, which started today.
