Overwatch has entered Season 26, incredibly, and here’s what we know about the Start Date and the End Date…
Overwatch Competitive Seasons are the driving factor keeping the title alive, I think it’s safe to say. Each one offers players a semi-clean slate to place themselves in a Rank and continue to strive for the elusive Top 500.
There are algorithms that will stop a Bronze Rank player winning 10 games and being chucked into Platinum, but on the by-and-large, it’s the perfect time to jump back in. You might be taking a little break and wonder when the next season is starting…
Overwatch Season 26 has already started: The start date was Jan 7th!
Personally, I always thought there was a little bit of fanfare around a new season and I haven’t seen much regarding it this time around. Still, Overwatch Season 26 has started and with it a new Competitive Season of highs and lows, placements, and inevitable stress.
The Competitive Seasons in 2020 all lasted between 8 and 10 weeks, however Season 26 is only running until March 4. This could be to coincide with the launch of an in-game event around Easter-time. Either way, eight weeks is a long time… Right?
Overwatch 2 was announced over a year ago and we still don’t know anything. Perhaps, in eight weeks, we might hear something…

Overwatch 2 is reportedly a single-player focused expansion on the first game which introduces a new hero levelling system, abilities, and appearances.
