LCS Team TSM is set to acquire the former FlyQuest mid laner PowerofEvil, replacing the vacant spot left by Bjergsen, according to ESPN JacobWolf.
PowerofEvil becomes a free agent starting in Nov. 16
PowerOfEvil will most likely sign with TSM when the free agency period begins on Nov. 16.
The 23-year old will replace Bjergsen, who has become the new coach of the TSM roster.
PowerOfEvil decided to join TSM over Evil Geniuses, who, according to Wolf, have been trying to grab a new mid laner for the 2021 LCS Spring Split.
Having spent a year with the FlyQuest roster, PoE had pretty good success, qualifying to the Worlds Championship & also won against one of the LPL teams, Top Esports. Placed 3rd in their group, however, they left China with a bittersweet taste.
With him leaving the organization, FlyQuest will have to not only find a new mid laner, but also a new jungler. Santorin was allowed by the org. to look for other opportunities, before becoming a Free Agent on Nov. 16. Santorin is a resident player in NA, granting him added value since most of the strong junglers is usually imported.
What does this mean for TSM?
TSM is most likely getting the best player available in the LCS. PoE’s performance & ceiling can be considered on par with Bjergsen. It will be, at most, a slight downgrade.
Despite that, with Bjergsen working as the coach of the team, he will most likely help the team grow more, using PoE as one of the core points of the roster. Bjergsen’s charisma & experience is one, if not the best one in NA, so definitely look out for TSM, as they will definitely want to forget this year’s Worlds Performance, where the ended last in their group & losing all the games played.
