ViCi Gaming Get Important First Place At PAL Fall 2020

Updated:

ViCi Gaming gets a very important win at Perfect World Asia League Fall 2020, taking the finals against TIGER with a clean 3-0 series. During their path, they broke their curse against region favourites Tyloo and closed in the gap at the Regional Major Rankings.

After losing to ViCi in the semi-finals, TIGER then went to reverse sweep the lower bracket, as they defeated Invictus Gaming and Tyloo on uncontested 2-0 series, relegating them to 4th and 3rd place correspondingly.

Boasting Erdenetsogt ‘erkaSt’ Gantulga in their ranks, the In-Game-Leader for Grayhound Gaming during their appearances at the Katowice 2019 and Berlin 2019 majors, TIGER was looking for some sweet revenge as we kicked off the Best-Of-Five series on Train.

After breaking a 13 match losing streak against Tyloo to reach the finals, ViCi Gaming seemed to be ready for anything

Possessing a one map advantage due to their Upper Bracket inheritance, ViCi would convert it to a two map advantage, as combined arms Yi ‘JamYoung’ Yang and Andrew ‘kaze’ Khong would lay waste to any opposing efforts.

The squad lead by Zhuo ‘advent’ Liang would start the series with a 16-10 on Train

TIGER would need to mimic their lower bracket success and reverse sweep the series if they wanted the Perfect World Asia League Fall 2020 title.

On Inferno, they pounced and ripped ViCi for the first eleven rounds, as a seemingly unstoppable Yesuntumur ‘nin9’ Gantulga wreaked havoc in the server. But overconfidence would turn into a slow and insidious killer for the Mongolians, as ViCi erected an impenetrable wall on the CT side.

As the scoreboard tied up 13-13, a series of chaotic back-and-forth rounds would ensue, with ViCi coming out on top to seal the series on a flawless 3-0.

JamYoung finished the two map series with 52 kills and 100.8 ADR, solidfying his place as one the best prospects in the region

With only one regional spot up for grabs, the standings for the Regional Major Rankings won’t change much for Invictus and TIGER. However, Tyloo will see their gap to ViCi fall to a precarious 88 points.

With the next Counter-Strike Major being postponed indefinitely, more RMR events could see Tyloo lose their seat right before their very eyes.
