WoW Dragonflight: Best Enhancement Shaman Talents

Updated:

If you’re new here or coming from the Beast Mastery Talents guide, welcome! This guide will be aimed at helping you gather the intel needed to assign the best Enhancement Shaman talents to yourself for the upcoming expansion in WoW, Dragonflight.

Strongest Enhancement Shaman Talents in Dragonflight

So let’s jump straight into the best overall Shaman talents to take, no matter your specialization.

First off, no matter what spec you take, always take Astral Shift. This is the best Shaman personal cool-down for damage mitigation and survival that we have.

Pair it with the supporting passive, Planes Traveller for a shorter cool down and increased duration for more uptime and availability. Capacitor Totem is situational but it never hurts to have a solid AoE stun on command, especially for dungeon content.

Next up we have Spiritwalker’s Grace. This allows the shaman to move and cast spells at the same time. Even if you’re playing enhancement shaman, your versatility of being able to move to avoid mechanics and cast a healing spell on your healer to keep them going is essential.

Nature’s Guardian is another great personal sustain talent to take, automatically saving your bacon once per 45 seconds. Also, take Brimming With Life for more uptime on Reincarnation and survivability when it’s down.

Best Talents for Mythic+, Raids, and PvP

With the addition of talent pages, changing your talents on the fly has never been easier. Simply save multiple pages for different scenarios, and while out of combat, select the page you want.

Keeping this in mind, You should maintain a page that fits the situation or fight you’re in. Use AoE/Cleave pages for Dungeons and trash pulls during raids and swap to Single target for raid bosses.

Mythic + Content should generally be aimed at using solely the Aoe/Cleave page, as the trash pulls are much harder than the bosses tend to be due to modifiers.

Best Mythic+ Talents for Enhancement Shaman

That being said, let’s talk about Mythic+ on an Enhancement Shaman. This class brings a lot of natural cleave into its play style. As an Enhancement Shaman, you’re generally using your Maelstrom Weapon generators and fishing for procs to insta cast your higher damage spells.

With that in mind, you definitely want to be taking Elemental Blast, as it’s much stronger than your basic Lightning Bolt and will be prioritized when procs occur.

Best Raiding Talents for Enhancement Shaman

Now that we’ve covered Mythic+ Talents, let’s move on to Raiding. Raids generally use AoE/Cleave pages for trash pulls or some boss fights to depend on the mechanics. However, typically, you’ll be focusing on taking talents to increase your single target DPS during the longer boss fights that raids tend to offer.

Enhancement Shaman being a melee class in a raid environment needs to mix in some survivability with their DPS choices to stay alive long enough to be relevant. As such, these are the current best talents to select in raids as of WoW’s Dragonflight Pre-launch.

As you can see, there’s not a lot of variation between the AoE/Cleave and the single target page, as this class mostly has their cleave built into their kit by default. The talents selected enhance those options. Get it? Enhance? Because Enhancement Shaman? Okay, we’ll stop now.

Player Versus Player (PvP)

Finally, we move on to PvP. As of the current patch in WoW, there’s not a lot of news and updates on the PvP front for classes and we’ll have to wait and see what the next season brings us with balance changes.

It’s best, as always, to focus more on survivability, burst damage, and crowd control for PvP, as that will win you fights more often than going glass cannon will.

As always, mod, adapt, and change your talent trees as needed, but stay true to the core aspect of the class to maintain relevancy in all content. Good luck in Dragonflight and when the going get’s tough, keep on punching!
