If you’ve arrived from any of our Dragonflight “Best Talents” guides, then welcome back, if you’re new then welcome! This guide will be showing the current best Holy Priest Talents available in the pre-launch Dragonflight WoW expansion.
Strongest Priest Talents in Dragonflight
Diving straight into the best overall priest talents, let’s look at fixing priests’ biggest problem in general, mobility. Priests commonly suffer from falling behind too far in dungeons from their group. Most other classes have teleports, blinks, flying, dashing, etc, but priests get left in the dark.
To alleviate this pain, Angelic Feather is a HUGE take on the talent tree. Furthermore, Body and Soul allows your power word shield to grant a small movespeed buff to the target, which can be yourself, for a few seconds.
In terms of effectiveness, Power Infusion is a must-take talent for any priest spec. Increasing anyone’s haste by 25% for 20 seconds is a huge buff and is too strong to be ignored.
Finally, whether you’re dpsing as a shadow or healing as holy or discipline, Twist of Fate is a must-have talent to take on any tree for the increased damage and healing when damaging a target or healing a target who is below 35% of their total health.
Best Talents for Mythic+, Raids, and PvP
We can’t stress enough the importance of Blizzard adding the new talent pages to the game allowing for easy swapping back and forth from scenario to scenario. Make multiple pages for every scenario you can think of and change anytime while out of combat.
Any situation where you need to quickly swap between AoE and a single target is alleviated now by not needing to individually allocate talent points raid-wide for everyone boss you encounter. That being said, let’s dive into the Holy Priest talents appropriate for Mythic+, Raiding, and PvP of WoW: Dragonflight
Best Mythic+ Talents for Holy Priest
Mythic+ has been a fan-favorite dungeon type since its release in Legion. In Mythic+ you can’t change your talents, gear, or spec mid-run, so it’s best to run an overall mixture of strong AoE/cleave + single target damage.

In the image above, you can see the talents are selected at providing the holy priest with some powerful cooldown-based burst heals as well as some sustained over time healing to alleviate pressure in between.
Holy priest is a monster at keeping one person alive. To help with AoE, you have access to several emergency buttons for AoE healing. These include spells like Circle of Healing, Holy Word Sanctify, and Divine Hymn.
For mythic+ content you 100% want to be taking Holy Word Salvation. It’s a 12-minute cooldown but it will save your group from an imminent wipe and possibly salvage a lost run.
Best Raiding Talents for Holy Priest
The best raiding talents for Holy Priest differ depending on the boss you’re fighting. If it’s a long fight, play for mana sustainability. In this case, you will swap out Lightweaver for Divine Word, granting you a 50% increased effectiveness of your next holy word spell on a one-minute cooldown.

Now of course, you can feel free to mix and match your own talents depending on your needs and the fight’s needs, but these are the best, in general, if we’re looking at the overall picture.
Player Versus Player (PvP)
As with all classes currently, there is no real news on the PvP front of WoW until the new season starts and we begin to see the higher-ranked players set the tone. We will update all our class guides accordingly once new information has been added.
In general, you will want to take talents that help you stay alive as a priest. Considering you wear cloth as a priest, anything with a metal stabby or slicy component equals bad news. Clever use of self-defensive cooldowns and crowd control is a must.
Good luck in Dragonflight and keep passing along the good holy word!
