Amazon’s New World MMO is Taking the World by Storm!

Updated:

New World is Amazon’s take on an MMO. Its one-time purchase live-action combat has had many heads turning and creators flocking to the game.

It’s realistic, but simple character creation gives both types of players who like to take their time customizing their character and those who just slap on a few changes and go.

During its first few releases for beta testing, the game developers played alongside players to actually get at the experience and frustrations players dealt with during their time playing on servers. From glitchy war spawn points, to overpowered axe players developers experienced first hand what they created.

That being said changes rolled out quickly after that, posting updates and balance changes to wars and axes, to nerfing life staffs. New World also discusses tons of new weapons coming to the game, which can include but are not limited to new swords, daggers, spears, and more.

One aspect that was lacklustre with the initial drop was questing. Early on players took the tedious task of opening 5 chests and slaying 10 withered as something that would progress to be much more interesting, sadly to find that wasn’t the case.

Amazon has answered our pleas and redid the questing system, hopefully adding more depth to just kill 10 withered.

One aspect to note is how amazing life skills are done in New World. Just as important as combat is in an MMO, so are life skills, and Amazon executes 10+ life skills perfectly during beta playthrough. Personally I believe the weight system comes into play with this.

Most of the time life skills become boring and repetitive to sit and farm the same thing over and over again, though with the idea of forcing the player to go back and craft, or dump off their inventory keeps the mind numbing aspect of grinding minimal.

Getting into the combat of New World, its real-time flagging combat ensures a player to keep on their toes, never knowing when a flank could happen, but always expect it to be when you are fighting way too many mobs. It’s fun and overall really smooth and enjoyable to play each weapon class.

Many MMO players like Asmongold are blown away by the game and how the player-base experienced less than 30% of the game.

Will you be playing New World? Are you looking forward to the new content drops?
