Best Ship in Lost Ark

Best ship in Lost Ark

Sailing is a key part of the gameplay in Lost Ark. The game has a pretty deep naval system in place, and it can be difficult to decide which ship to choose. Especially since some missions involve either naval combat or traversing through dangerous waters. Here is our guide on the best ship in Lost Ark to help you have smooth sailing.

Types of Ships in Lost Ark

There are a total of 8 ships you can upgrade in Lost Ark, each coming with its own unique benefits and downsides. Since most of the time you’re spending in the waters is navigating, you’d be forgiven if you think only the speed factor is important.

There are many benefits to choosing the right ship, however. For example, it can make your life much easier while traveling through hazardous waters. You will encounter dangers on the sea like storms that destroy your ship, siren-infested waters, or kelps that heavily slow you down.

This is why it is important to choose one of the eight ships as your main one and upgrade it. The ships you can choose from are:

  • Brahms: Resistant against Siren Seas
  • White Wind: Resistant against Sandstorm Seas
  • Estoque: Same resistance against all hazards
  • Eurus: Resistant against Kelp Beds
  • Tragon: Resistant against Tempest Seas
  • Astray: Same resistance against all hazards
  • Eibern’s Wound: Resistant against Dead Waters
  • Sturmbrecher: Resistant aginst Cold Snap Seas

You’re going to have to choose your ship carefully because you only have a limited amount of upgrade materials at your disposal that you earn from the campaign. Especially if you’re a free-to-play player.

What Is the Best Ship to in Lost Ark

Our pick for the best ship to focus all of your upgrades on is the Estoque. When taking into account just how early you get it in the game and the things it can do for you, it becomes a no-brainer.

The Estoque is one of the first ships you unlock in the game, and it’s also a mandatory mission to complete, so you can’t miss it. This makes it great because you can focus your already scarce upgrade materials on it straight away and have a strong ship come the end game, where most of the sailing will take place.

Here are the base stats of the Estoque:

  • Kelp Forest +12
  • Sandstorm Seas +12
  • Siren region +12
  • Cold Snap Seas +12
  • Tempest Seas +12
  • Dead Waters +12

Add to that a base speed of 20 and 3500 HP and you’re ready to go from the start. It also lets you focus more on building your crew and going on missions that reward you more.

The Estoque easily resists all the water hazards, and with such a high base speed you can take minimal damage once you get used to the sailing mechanic in Lost Ark. It’s great for completing the Nightmare Ghostship Raid due to the naturally high tankiness of the ship.

An argument can be made for the Astray being a better version of the Estoque, but it takes a long time to build up the required rapport with Blackfang to unlock it.
