Best Weapons in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen (+God Rolls)

Updated:
Best Weapons

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen brought an insane amount of new legendary and exotic weapons to the loot table. There are 42 legendaries, and at least 8 exotics. Out of all the weapons, there are bound to be some that stand out. Today we will be talking about some of the best weapons in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen and their god rolls for both PvE and PvP.

Disclaimer: when looking for a god roll prioritize perks, then masterwork, and then barrel and magazine. The rolls below are a recommendation and a starting point for you to find your own god roll. Some parts can be different and that is okay as long as you feel you are getting what you want from the weapon.

The Enigma

Destiny 2 Witch Queen The Enigma

Glaives are a new weapon archetype in Destiny 2. It has a capability of a melee weapon, a projectile weapon, and a shield at the same time making it very useful in PvE and as expected not super popular in PvP.

There is only one legendary glaive and that’s The Enigma that can only be acquired by playing through the free-to-play introduction of The Witch Queen campaign. The Enigma is the first craftable weapon in the game and it can only be crafted. On the good side, you have the opportunity to craft the perfect roll without any RNG involved. It will take some time though.

The Enigma Stats

  • Impact: 80
  • Range: 60
  • Shield Duration: 50
  • Handling: 42
  • Reload Speed: 46
  • Rounds Per Minute: 55

Funnelweb

There is no doubt that many players will enjoy this weapon. If you look at it, it’s identical to the Recluse which was a meta weapon for almost any content in Destiny 2 until the sunsetting was introduced. Sunsetting is no more but the Recluse is still can’t be used in the game because of the power cap.

Funnelweb is literally Recluse but in a different wrapper. It feels the same, looks the same, has a void element, the only difference is that it doesn’t have the Recluse perk. Funnelweb is also one of the best void weapons in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen and many will be farming it for the void 3.0 builds that require a decent void weapon. Speaking of farming, it’s a world drop. Not ideal but once you get it, it’s all yours for the taking.

Syncopation-53

Destiny 2 Witch Queen Syncopation-53 pulse rifle

The Syncopation-53 is a Suros pulse rifle. It’s a world drop but you will be able to craft it too once you unlock the pattern.

This pulse rifle has a very good perk pool with great options for PvE and PvP. It will not stand anywhere near weapons like The Messenger but it’s a reliable rifle that will serve you well on the field.

Recurrent Impact

Recurrent Impact

Recurrent Impact is a 900 RPM machine gun. It is a seasonal weapon and a world drop but if you are looking for one, your best bet would be the PsiOps Battlegrounds or the Season Pass.

This machine gun is great but comes with limitations. An incredibly fast rate of fire makes it deadly in close to mid-range combat but because of the recoil and range damage loss becomes useless on long-range fights.

Forensic Nightmare

The best weapon from the Throne World collection: Forensic Nightmare submachine gun. It drops from everywhere in the Throne World so keep an eye out for one. It’s an all-around good submachine gun with a nice feel and no particular specialties. It doesn’t have a large variety of perks available so your choices are quite limited.

Cantata-57

Cantata-57

Cantata-57 is a new 140 RPM hand cannon. It became extremely viable and effective because of its perk pool that makes the Cantata-57 a solid pick in both PvE and PvP. The downside is that it’s a world drop. It will take some time to get the desired roll but thanks to the perk pool there are multiple options for you.

Cantata-57 Stats

Crisis Inverted

Crisis Inverted

Crisis Inverted is another 140 RPM hand cannon that is pretty good when it comes to both PvE and PvP. However, we will be covering PvP rolls of this weapon as this isn’t exactly a PvE must-have and there are many other options that can replace Crisis Inverted.

To get this gun you will have to play Crucible as it is an exclusive drop for this activity. Good thing is that the drop rate of Crisis Inverted is very. You will be able to get your hands on many different rolls and Deepsight Resonance versions of the gun.

Osteo Striga

Destiny 2 Witch Queen Osteo Striga

Osteo Striga is a pre-order bonus that was totally worth paying for. It is by far one of the best weapons that arrived in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. If you are curious about how to get it in-game we have a dedicated guide for you. If you haven’t pre-ordered Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, it will become available for everyone next season.

This kinetic sub-machine gun is a great tool for PvE and PvP content. In PvE, it gets its value from poisoning enemies while in PvP, well, it has tracer rounds. It might be uncomfortable to use in PvP though as the bullets are very slow. Kills after death become a common thing while running Osteo Striga.

Osteo Striga Stats

  • Impact: 25
  • Range: 82
  • Stability: 43
  • Handling: 33
  • Reload Speed: 26
  • Rounds Per Minute: 600
  • Magazine: 27

Osteo Striga God Roll

Osteo Striga doesn’t have core perk customization because it is an exotic weapon. So here’s a universal Osteo Striga god roll that focuses on Reload Speed and Handling. Although Reload Speed becomes less important once you unlock Striga’s catalyst.

  • Barrel: Fluted Barrel
  • Magazine: Tactical Mag / Flared Magwell
