Black Ops Cold War: Zombies Pack A Punch Guide

Updated:

Black Ops Cold War Zombies may have brought a lot of new features, but there’s also old ones too. Pack A Punch is back and here’s everything you need to know about the latest variation of the iconic machine.

In Cold War Zombies, getting a Pack A Punch is one of the easiest things you can do!

Unlike previous Call of Duty Zombies experiences, the Pack A Punch machine in Die Maschine doesn’t involve a whole lot to get it up and running. All you need to do is turn on the Power, grab the machine part from the Dark Aether, and you’re good to go.

Below is a simpler guide to help walk you through it.

Cold War Zombies Pack A Punch Step-by-Step Guide

Firstly, you will need to turn on the Power in the Particle Accelerator.

This is a pretty standard step by Zombies standards, but it’s all the more important to make sure you do this sooner rather than later. With it being tight underground, I would suggest saving up a few points while you’re up and around the Crash Site and the Exfil Area.

You should need between 6,000 and 7,000 points to make it all the way through. This is dependent on how many players you are playing with, as larger lobbies increase Door Prices slightly.

Please note, Jugger-Nog works without the Power being on. It is located at the Crash Site and it is recommended that you buy this before entering Projekt Endstation underground.

Once you’ve turned on the Power, you will need to activate the two marked terminals and power up the Particle Accelerator. This will spawn a Dark Aether portal in the centre of the Accelerator. Just in front of the broken Pack A Punch machine.

When here, an Aether Tunnel will be highlighted as an objective. This will be located somewhere above ground.

There is a Time Limit while in the Dark Aether, so make sure you don’t wait around.

Going through this tunnel will transport you back below ground into the Projekt Endstation Facility. When you arrive, immediately turn around and you will see a holographic-looking Machine Part.

You will be prompted to pick it up. Once you have it, return to where the Dark Aether portal was and you will be able to repair the Pack A Punch machine.

Cold War Zombies walks you through how to re-forge the Pack A Punch machine in Die Maschine, so it should be pretty easy to do once you have the right doors open.

The Pack A Punch machine offers three Tiers of levelling. Standard Pack A Punch costs 5,000 Points. Tier 2 is 15,000 and Tier 3 is 25,000. Rather than have additional steps, all three tiers are available from the Pack A Punch machine from the start.

All you do, is simply click on the Tier you wish to purchase.

Pack A Punch is now an instant process and does not require you to put your weapon into the machine for a few seconds.

The Pack A Punch machine also offers players the chance to purchase Ammo Mods for their weapons. Each weapon can have one Ammo Mod at a time and this works alongside the benefits of Elemental Pop.

Each Ammo Mod costs 2,000 Points and is applied at the current level you have unlocked.

Please note, you cannot refund an Ammo Mod when purchased. Buying another will overwrite the current Ammo Mod equipped.

You can’t Pack A Punch or apply Ammo Mods to the the D.I.E. Shockwave, or any variant, however every other weapon has this option.
