Diablo Immortal: Best Classes Tier List (June 2022)

Diablo Immortal All Classes Ranked

Diablo Immortal is finally upon us. The malefic franchise hit the app stores and battle.nets this past week and gathered an impressive number of players. With so many newcomers to the franchise, many of them are looking to find their new favorite character. Here are our picks for the Diablo Immortal – Best Classes of June 2022 in a tier list format.

What Classes Can You Play in Diablo Immortal

There are six classes you can pick from in Diablo Immortal: Barbarian, Necromancer, Crusader, Monk, Demon Hunter, and Wizard. Although not as deep and flexible as in other instalments, each class serves its purpose and can be useful.

Each class has the same number of skills and some are very similar in playstyle, like the Barbarian and the Crusader. However, some clearly stand above the rest, even this early into the game’s life.

Choosing the right class can greatly increase the enjoyment you get out of the game. Even if you’re a veteran of Diablo, Immortal is a little different. It’s very modern and changed all the classes quite a bit since last you saw them in Diablo 3.

Diablo Immortal Demon Hunter

Diablo Immortal Season 1 Classes Tier List

This list takes into consideration a number of factors. It is primarily based on damage, AOE, utility, and consistency. Although none of the classes are particularly hard to play, we thought it’s important to take into account how easy a class is to pick up and understand for new players.

Also, no class is “unplayable” or truly bad. They all have moments when they are very good, but some shine above the rest as always viable.

Without further ado, here is the Diablo Immortal best classes of June 2022 tier list:

  • S Tier: Barbarian
  • A Tier: Wizard, Necromancer
  • B Tier: Demon Huner, Monk, Crusader
  • C Tier: –

The Barbarian stands atop the list mainly because of two things: they can clear enemies very fast and they are amazing drain tanks. That means they can heal as much damage as they deal. The Barbarian acts like a tank but has the damage of a caster. They are fast, mobile, and have short cooldowns, which makes them an S-tier choice for your first main character in Diablo Immortal. To top that off they are also arguably the easiest class to play in the entire game.

Diablo Immortal Barbarian Ultimate

The Wizard and the Necromancer make up the A-tier together. They are both really fun and strong characters that deal tons of damage. However, unlike the Barbarians, they actually have to dodge and kite their enemies a little bit.

The Wizard has incredible amounts of damage and AOE and can clear entire rooms in seconds. They also have amazing utility with Teleport and Ice Armor. However, they have higher cooldowns than the Barbarian and are noticeably more vulnerable to enemies.

The Necromancer is even more versatile than the Wizard. They can summon attack ghouls for damage or armor ghouls for defense. They can summon dead enemies to fight as an army or use corpses as weapons. Amazing variety is held back by the fact that they can not use multiple of those ability sets at the same time.

The Demon Hunter, Monk, and Crusader make up the B tier – our last populated tier in the list.

An argument could be made for the Demon Hunter to join the A tier, but she gets knocked down a tier by the “micro” part of her kit. The Demon Hunter must be always moving, always setting traps and knocking back enemies, while simultaneously attacking other enemies. They have amazing damage and are a really fun class to play. However, they are really difficult, and not many players will find the time investment worth it.

The Monk is the primary support in Diablo Immortal. It can easily jump to low A tier when played in a group but solo, it’s a little bit harder to pilot. With few damaging moves, it will take them a while to clear rooms and bosses. However, they can work if the player is skilled enough to take advantage of the teleporting abilities of the class. However, it’s definitely better with a carry. Especially a Wizard.

Diablo Immortal Crusader

The Crusader finishes our list off in style. Although the crusader is a great tank with amazing utility, especially against lesser enemies and huge rooms, their main problem is not in their kit, but in another class. The Barbarian does everything the Crusader can do but better. It can prove effective in groups with debuffs like Shield Glare or Punish, but if you do not have an affinity for this class, there is no reason to play it over the Barbarian.

To conclude, there is no truly bad or unplayable class. They all can shine given the right circumstance. This list mainly aims to show newer or returning players what to look for in a class when it comes to end-game PvE content. Also, it’s important to make an informed decision when choosing your main, especially since many items in the game can only be claimed once per account.

At the end of the day, the number one factor when choosing a class should always be what is the most fun for you, the player.
