DWG players Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon & Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee have entered free agency, following an announcement made by the organization.
DWG is Looking to Renew the Contracts with Nuguri & BeryL
After winning Worlds 2020 this year, DAMWON Gaming needs to sort out the contracts with their players. In particular, top laner Nuguri and support BeryL are, as of right now, free agents.
The organization is currently trying to renew their contracts, hoping that the world-championship winning team can stay together in the upcoming season.
Last week, DAMWON also announced that former SKT coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun will join the team as the head coach. With a coach of his caliber, DWG is looking really strong coming into the 2021 season. However, it will also depend on whether the Korean team will be able to hold on to the aforementioned players.
All the other players from the starting roster are currently under contract until Nov. 2021, according to the GDC.

DWG’s other Announcements
DWG announced that also the substitute top laner Lee “Flame” Ho-jong & support Ryu “Hoit” Ho-seong will be leaving as they are looking for opportunities to play as starters in other teams. With such strong players in DWG, their chances of playing were surely very slim.
One thing worth noting is that also substitute ADC Sin “Nuclear” Jeong-hyeon’s contract has expired but no announcement has been made regarding him. He might be leaving after being benched by the current ADC Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun.
With the transfer window open, expect many announcements in the upcoming days! Make sure to tune in to get the latest news on all the roster moves & don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram!
