In Genshin Impact, the Northlander Sword Prototype is an important weapon crafting material that can be used to forge 4-star swords. It is dropped by Weekly Bosses and can be purchased from the Souvenir Shop.
The Northlander Sword Prototype is a Forging Material you can find in Genshin Impact. It’s needed to forge both the Prototype Rancour and the Iron Sting, both 4-star weapons.
There are two places to get a Northlander Sword Prototype in Genshin Impact: From Weekly Bosses and from the Souvenir Shop.
Weekly Bosses are tough fights that a player can complete once a week. They reward a player with 300 Adventure EXP, a varying amount of Mora and a varying amount of Companionship EXP depending on the player’s World Level. There is also the chance that they will drop Character Ascension Materials, Artefacts, and Northlander Prototypes.
Currently, both Weekly Bosses are located in Mondstadt. Dvalin can be found in Stormterror’s Lair in the northernmost area of the Genshin Impact map.
Andrius can be found in Wolvendom, also located in Mondstadt.
There are currently two Souvenir Shops in Genshin Impact you can use to purchase a Northlander Sword Prototype.
In Mondstadt, you will need to head to With Wind Comes Glory and speak to Marjorie. A Northlander Sword Prototype can be exchanged for 225 Anemo Sigils with a one-item limit.
In Liyue, you will need to head to Mingxing Jewelry and speak to Xingxi. A Northlander Sword Prototype can be exchanged here for 225 Geo Sigils with a one-item limit.
