With loot and build building being the main aspect of the game, it is important that you know how to get your hands on the best gear. By best gear, we mean Legendary gear and this is how to get Legendary gear in Diablo Immortal.
What is Legendary and Set Gear in Diablo Immortal
Diablo Immortal can make things a bit confusing when it comes to items, rarities, and usage. The game follows a traditional recipe of item rarities in video games with its own unique twist.
There are five main gear rarities in Diablo Immortal:
- Common (White)
- Magic (Blue)
- Rare (Yellow)
- Legendary (Orange)
- Set (Green)
Legendary gear offers the highest stats, score, attributes, combat rating bonus, and is overall the best gear in the game. More than that, Legendary gear often offers a Legendary effect. For example, the Mask of Illusions helmet for the wizard class modifies their Teleport skill to make you invisible for a brief moment after using it and leave an illusion of you behind to taunt enemies.
Set gear is a Legendary alternative for secondary equipment as only primary (swords, helmets, chests, etc.) can have a drop of Legendary rarity. Set items also have a bonus when you have multiple items equipped from the same set.
How to Get Legendary Gear in Diablo Immortal
There are a few ways to get your hand on some Legendary loot. Technically, you can get Legendary gear just by killing enemies out in the world but the drop rate is incredibly low. Because of that here are the best ways to get Legendary gear in Diablo Immortal.
Get Legendary Gear From Story and Side Quests
If you are yet to complete the story and side quests, go ahead and complete them. Check your available quests on the left and just go one by one. Throughout those quests, you will most likely get at least a few Legendary items to kick off your collection.
Farm Elder Rift Activity
As with many things to farm in Diablo Immortal, Elder Rift activity is almost always an option. Use as many crests as you can to get the most loot and eventually you will get some Legendary drops.
Unlike it is with Legendary Gems, Elder Rift does not guarantee you any Legendary gear drops at all. So it can take you some time and we suggest that you focus on farming Gems and make use of any Legendary drops that come along.
Complete Dungeons With a Higher Legendary/Set Drop-Rate
Completing dungeons in Diablo Immortal is also a very good way to get Legendary and Set gear. Many don’t pay attention but you can actually see what dungeons currently have an increased chance of dropping Legendary and/or Set items.
To check those dungeons open the Codex. In the Battle Pass tab go to the Activities section. Scroll down through the activities and look for an orange or green loot icon with the question mark. When you press on it, it will say something like: “Increased chance to drop Legendary equipment on Normal difficulty”.
Press the navigation button next to it and head to the dungeon. You can complete the dungeon solo but it’s faster and more rewarding to do with a party.
Other Ways to Get Legendary Gear
There are a few extra ways to obtain good items. These aren’t farmable. Most of them are rewards for completing different things in the game but can still give you some top-tier loot.
Apart from killing monsters, Elder Rift, dungeons, and quests, here are a few other ways of getting Legendary gear in Diablo Immortal:
- Bounties
- Hilts trader
- Kill of the Day
- Battle Pass
- Daily Reward
- Horardic Altar rewards
- Event rewards
- Zone events
- Hidden Lairs
But again, those aren’t the ways you can farm, so just keep checking if you have any rewards available and collect them when you do. You will end up getting a few extra Legendary items that will make a fine addition to your collection or your build.
