If you’ve spent a ton of time in Overwatch collecting skins and other special items from events or just the base game, then you probably want to keep them all. This guide will show you how to get your old skins from Overwatch into Overwatch 2.
Transferring Your Old skins into Overwatch 2 on PC
On PC your skins will be transferred automatically as you use the same Battle.net account for both Overwatch 1 and Overwatch 2. So you don’t have to do anything apart from checking skins’ presence in your inventory.
If they are not there, chances are, your account is still in the middle of migration as there were quite a lot of issues with that on Blizzard’s front.
If you don’t get your skins in a while, we recommend you submit the request on the support site. It can take longer for them to reply because of the already mentioned bunch of issues they are having with the game.
Transferring Your Old skins into Overwatch 2 on Console
On Consoles, after patching Overwatch into Overwatch 2, you will notice a large screen upon logging in with a QR code. Scan the code with your phone to trigger a second screen. Afterward, type in the on-screen code and log in to your battle.net account. This is a merger of your old Overwatch progress into Overwatch 2.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are doing this process with the correct Overwatch account. Double-check what account you’re on if you have multiple accounts, as this process can only be done once.
After completion, log out and log back into Overwatch 2 and then confirm the merging process. Once completed, you will now have all of your old skins from Overwatch in Overwatch 2.
