How to Remake in Valorant

Updated:
If one of your teammates leaves, you can remake in Valorant before the second round's purchase phase ends.

Competetive games’ most appealing point may also be their greatest curse. Yes, we’re talking about ranked systems. The most fun mode of Valorant can become hated very quickly because players leave the game. To prevent this, Riot Games has a great solution: How to Remake in Valorant?

If you join a ranked match on Valorant after a long day and one of your teammates has been disconnected at the start of the match, don’t get angry. Because you don’t have to play the match 4v5 and possibly lose. You can search for matches again without losing points.

There are certain rules for creating a remake in Valorant. The first reason for this is to prevent players from wanting to remake games they know they’ll lose. The second reason is to make sure that there really is an imbalance. The only condition for a remake in Valorant is the following:

  • A player must be disconnected at the start of the match. This period is valid from the beginning of the buy phase until the end of the first round.

If the conditions for a remake in Valorant are met, the vote can be opened by typing /remake in chat until the start of the second round. All remaining team members must agree to this vote. Otherwise, the remake won’t take place and the teams will have to continue the match as they’re.

Open voting continues throughout the shopping period of the second round. Players on the team must vote before this time expires. Otherwise, the voting period expires and the game continues as usual.

Will Remake Affect Your Rank?

When one of the team members leaves at the very start, the missing team is put at a severe disadvantage. This is why this mechanic is designed for you not to lose any RR or have any effect on your MMR.

If the vote is successful, all players (including the opposing team) leave the game without losing RR points. When the game is over, the player who disconnected or intentionally left the game will be penalized.

However, you need to be prepared for days when you will have to play such unfair games. You need to be at the best of your ability and here are a few guides to help you with that:
