Players looking to add an Angkze or Gullysplot to their ooblet farms will need to first find soggy balloons. Three soggy balloons can be used to initiate a dance battle with a wild Angkze. While one soggy balloon is required to make Pneumatic Gnocchi which is needed to initiate a dance battle with a Gullysplot.
Where to Get Soggy Ballons in Ooblets
To have a chance to get soggy balloons in Ooblets players will need to travel to Port Forward. To get to Port Forward players will need to complete several quests.
The first set of quests involves activating the Oobnet Towers in Badgetown, Mamoonia, and Nullwhere. Players will have to win a number of dance battles at each location to unlock each tower.
How to Reach the Other Towns in Ooblets
While the tower in Badgetown is easily accessible, the other towers can only be accessed by air travel. Players will need to help Gimble repair their hot air balloon (Burpy), and wait a day for the repairs before they can travel to the next region.
Players can find Gimble’s hot air balloon in the western area of Badgetown. To repair the hot air balloon players will need to gather:
- 1 Oobsidian -can be bought from the wishywell for 100 wishies, or in rare instances found on the beach in Badgetown.
- 20 Planklets from chopping wood.
- 12 Nurnies from smashing rocks.
- 8 Clothlets purchased from Meeds Seeds in Badgetown and grown on the farm.
How to Upgrade the Hot Air Balloons Range
After traveling to and activating each Oobnet tower players will then need to upgrade the hot air balloon’s range to unlock the Port Forward region. To upgrade Burpy’s range players will need to collect:
- 40 Planklets – (from chopping wood)
- 10 Clothlets (Meeds Seeds in Badgetown)
- 40 Nurny (smashing rocks)
- 5 Sprockuts (located around Mamoonia)
- 8 Spicyspears (Wildlands north of Badgetown)
Once all items have been collected players will need to wait a day for the upgrade to take effect before travel to Port Forward is available.
How to Fish for Soggy Balloons

Once in Port Forward Ooblets players can obtain soggy balloons by sea dangling in Port Forward. Sea dangling is the game’s version of a fishing mini-game.
Players will need to first craft bait at any reconstitooter, before attempting to fish. To craft bait players will need to place disposable items into the device and wait until it creates a slurry.
Different items will grant players different amounts of slurry, however, players will initially only need 10 slurries to craft one piece of bait. The reconstitooter can receive upgrades to increase the quality of bait as well as crafting speed.
There are three types of bait in Ooblets and soggy balloons can be caught with each. Each bait quality also increases the chance of pulling up a soggy balloon.
- Basic bait has a 5.6% chance of success.
- High-quality bait has a 10.8% chance of success.
- Super bait has a 10.3% chance of success.
Once players have successfully caught enough soggy balloons they can either challenge an Angkze to a dance-off or craft Pneumatic Gnocchi.
