We’ve all dabbled in The Sims before, right? If not, now is the perfect time. These Sims 4 Ghost Cheats will help jumpstart any save you’ve got so you can get stuck into whatever Sim-related mischief you fancy!
Cheating is all well and good in The Sims 4, but you need to know where to put the cheats in, right? Well, opening the command console isn’t too complicated at all. All you need to do is press CTR, SHIFT, and C to toggle it on or off. Then, once you’ve typed in the cheat… You just hit enter. Easy peasy.
If you’re playing on a console, pressing all four shoulder buttons simultaneously will also toggle the console on or off.
Before you get stuck in though, it’s worth noting that for a lot of these, you’ll need to have Testing Cheats on, otherwise they won’t work. All you have to do for this is type testingcheats on into the command console. To disable this, you type testingcheats off into the console instead.
If you’re having trouble with this, ‘testingcheats 1’, ‘testingcheats true’, and ‘testingcheats yes’ all appear to work as well.
Where a cheat requires a SHIFT-Click, console users can press X+O on PlayStation 4, or A+B on Xbox One for the same effect.

Turn A Sim Into A Ghost Via Anger – traits.equip_trait anger
A Sim who died via Anger may give nearby Sims an anger Moodlet (+1) with +2 for the Ghost.
Turn A Sim Into A Ghost Via Cow Plant – traits.equip_trait cowplant
A Sim who died via Cow Plant can cause decay and death to plants when angry.
Turn A Sim Into A Ghost Via Drowning – traits.equip_trait drown
A Sim who died via Drowning may cause pools of water to appear around them.
Turn A Sim Into A Ghost Via Electrocution – traits.equip_trait electrocution
A Sim who died via Electrocution may break electronics when possessing them, when angry. They can also shock other Sims for a laugh.
Turn A Sim Into A Ghost Via Embarrassment – traits.equip_trait embarrassment
A Sim who died via Embarrassment may give other Sims an embarrassed moodlet (+1) with +2 for the Ghost.
Turn A Sim Into A Ghost Via Fire – traits.equip_trait fire
A Sim who died via Fire may set fires at random times in random places. While angry, they can be instructed to start a fire when controlled.

A Sim who died via Hunger will often eat in the middle of the night.
Turn A Sim Into A Ghost Via Laughter – traits.equip_trait laugh
A Sim who died via Laughter may give other Sims a playful Moodlet (+1), with +2 for the Ghost.
Turn A Sim Into A Ghost Via Old Age – traits.equip_trait oldage
A Sim who died via Old Age will relax more often when acting autonomously.

A Sim who died via Overexertion will relax more often when acting autonomously.
Turn A Sim Into A Ghost Via Sauna – traits.equip_trait steam
A Sim who died via Sauna will have a strong desire to cool down. This will lead them to near-instantly absorb nearby puddles of water.
If you want to play as a ghost, all you need to do is befriend one when it visits and eventually you’ll be able to invite it to your household. If you have ‘testingcheats’ on, you’ll be able to SHIFT+Click on the ghost when he arrives and do this immediately.
