Finding hidden gems is one of the most satisfying feelings in FIFA 23, and turning them into world-class players can provide some of the most memorable career mode playthroughs. Here are some of the best FIFA 23 hidden gems.
The best-hidden gems are the ones that you DON’T know about. Finding unknown players with high potential and turning them into bonified club legends is one of the best ways to spice up your saves.
There are a ton of hidden gems in FIFA 23. With the recent addition of dynamic potential, it’s even easier to make them exceed their predicted overall. You can easily take any of the players from this list and get them to 85+.
For this list, we’re going to take a look at both offensive and defensive players. Since they are all under 23 and have an already high set potential, you should have no problem training them for other positions.
Goalkeeper: Kevin Mier – Atletico National – OVR: 72-84
Value: 5.000.000$ Wage: 3.000$
Since Kevin Mier does not play (yet) for a European club, very few players give him a chance in career mode. With the goalkeeper being an especially hard position to find hidden gems for, Kevin comes in as a nice alternative to what you’re already used to playing with.
He is more of a shot-stopper than a build-up GK, but he will undoubtedly get the job done. Sometimes we manage clubs that can’t afford the Donnaroummas or the Edersons of the world. With a price tag of just 5.000.000$, he is a bargain that should not be missed.
With constant game time, he should easily exceed his set potential of 84.
Left Back: Milos Kerkez – AZ ALKMAAR – OVR: 71-84
Value: 4.200.000$ Wage: 2.000$
Milos Kerkez is somewhat known in real life because of the recent resurgence of the Hungary national team. He impressed in the nations league and got a much-needed upgrade in FIFA 23. As a result, he became one of the best young prospects in the game.
But, with the fullbacks being such an important position in today’s game, there are so many good (and expensive) players in this position.
Milos Kerkez is a cheap alternative with extremely high potential. Not only that, he can easily fit in some mid to low-table sides in any league. With a whopping 85 acceleration and 82 sprint speed, he is rapid. You can easily tear defenses up with him.
Centre Back: Noah Mbamba – Club Brugge KV – OVR: 64-84
Value: 1.500.000$ Wage: 500$
This one will take some time to get going since he starts at a 64 OVR, but after one or two loan spells he can become a beast. With an already great 76 Pace, which is great for a center-back, he’s got what it takes to become a metronomic CB/CDM hybrid.
With a measly price of 1.500.000$, he is one of the best pickups for Road to Glory teams or backup elevens at mid-table sides.
If you manage to get him consistent game time and good performances, he can easily exceed his 84-set potential.
Centre Midfielder: Martin Baturina – Dinamo Zagreb – OVR: 70-86
Value: 4.100.000$ Wage: 500$
A player you will very rarely see in your games since he plays for Dinamo Zagreb who are in the rest of the world division, he is one of the newest talents of the famous Croatian talent machine.
With crazy stats all over, Martin Baturina can become one of the best midfielders in your career mode save. He has great dribbling, excellent speed for a CM, and is a long shot-taker. A little more pricy than the other players on the list, he can be tough to get for a lower league team.
But keep an eye out for him in the second season once you’ve got a bit of cash. He works really well as a CM, and CAM. He can even be used as a striker if you’re really short up there. Whether you create a club or use an authentic one, Martin Baturina looks like he could be your Luka Modric.
Left Winger: Stipe Biuk – Hajduk Split – OVR: 70-85
Value: 3.800.000$ Wage: 500$
Another Croatian future worldbeater. Stipe Biuk is one of the best attacking young players in the game. A jack of all trades that is admittedly not the best at anything, but great at everything, he can easily turn into a future captain and consistency king for your side.
With decent stats all around and a 5 Star weak foot, he can play in the entire midfield and on both wings. At just 3.800.000$ he is a bargain and one of the first players you should invest into your career mode.
If you want to get the best out of him, pair him up with a lethal striker. You can either sell him for a massive profit later on or keep him until you end the game – either way – you’ve got a great player on your hands.
Striker: Facundo Hernan Farias – Club Atletico Colon – OVR: 75-85
Value: 12.000.000$ Wage: 9000$
As you may have noticed, there’s quite a jump in price between our striker and the other players on our list. Well, that’s partly because strikers are way overpriced in this day and age, but also because he is by far one of the best hidden gems in FIFA 23 career mode.
With an amazing 91 pace, 4-star skill moves, 3-star weak foot great dribbling, and already good finishing stats, he is a beast. At 12.000.000$ he can be considered a bargain.
He can easily fit into the starting 11 of any mid-table side, even though his OVR might not show it. He is a little unknown because he does not play for a European side but instead plays in Argentina.
